View Full Version : Weakling selling unfired MK9 Elite for price of regular MK9

Would like to sell an unfired, newly purchased MK9 Elite (M9098) for the price of a regular MK9 (M9093) because as a 63 year old weakened by decades of diabetes I can hardly pull back the slide in a non-emergency let alone when I need to depend upon it.
Would come with unmailed warranty papers and everything else that came with it. Has been professionally cleaned by a gunsmith whom I paid for a lesson in proper cleaning.
Send private message with your phone number and/or email address to TriedandTrue.

Thank you

Have you considered running it through the break in? Our Kahr springs start out REALLY stiff, but loosen up pretty darn good! I'd hate to see you give up such a fine pistol for a loss.

I'm getting ready to post a range report, CM9 vs. Beretta Nano the Nano has some minuses but the slide is easier to rack. No need for you to be unarmed at 63 years young.

what MO SOLDIER statedis dead right. I would bet after 200 rounds u will thinkyou have a different kahr. They just seem to realy smooth out alot. But if u feel u just casn't do it, then indeed find a new owner for it. It is a great gun but sometimes kahrs ain't for everyone.

the best to you .

If I had a woodie I'd have no trouble grabbing it.

Wait, this might be too much information dispersal.

We were talking station wagons right?

no no no... wood grips ad extra girth to the pistol when it woodify... the nylon stuff is flimpsy and flexible with less girth so it's more manageable...

and the wagon?...

I bought the smooth and checkered grips for my MK40 from Kahr and
nether fit. Guess it's Dremel time?
I'm not good with my hands, at least at fixing things.
So I just left them off.

Seems like they were just made too large so you could fit them.
Like the SS MK frames fluctuate in size?
I've read of others not fitting as well.

I don't get it either.
Have two pair of wood grips for my S&W 629 44 that fit perfect out of the box
from Eagle and Hogue.

On the other hand, frequent posts keeps his thread (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=15521)at the top of the list.

All the fitting you will need to do is remove a thin 1/16 x 3/8 x 1/32 deep piece of wood from each panel. If you take off the original black grips and hold 1 of the wood panels on to the gun. You can look from the other side and see exactaly what needs to be removed. It is the bottom tab that the attachment screw goes into and the it's the top of the tab that is too high for the grip to fit. If you can't see it, let us know and I will post a picture with instructions. Kahr could fix these at the source if they wanted to, and they should want to.

You need to post the price and any other charges that will be necessary to buy your gun, like shipping, payment method or anything else. Buyers want to see what the asking price is rather than a general price description that no one knows what it is due to varriarions from dealer to dealer. If the price is right it will sell very quickly.

Congratulations to Bootlegger for buying this MK9. :cheer2:
If you need more info on fitting the wood grips, post back after you get the gun and grips.

After speaking with Bootlegger, I'm happy he's the purchaser.

I also want to thank all those who gave me helpful advice, and our comedians.

I'll open myself up for constructive criticism and outrageous teasing by saying that I'm thinking of buying either a Sig 938 or an M&P Shield.
