Help K9 : history / serial # / build date

Hi guys; dating my pre ban K9 is confusing; help appreciated; serial # ae2015, no stainless markings, looks like carbon steel; hope it was nickel coated; I paid high money for it living in Ma. and wanting one. This is a lightly used gun , 3-clips in original case and may possibly be for sale in near future. thanks John

looks to me as birth date is around first quarter of 96. If it has no scalloping on the frame as u now see on the models today, then it is carbon steel frame. Kahr did make nickel finished K9's back then..

If you email Kahr the serial # they call tell you when it was made and if it was nickle coated.
They got back to me with the info same day.....YMMV.
