The slide stop on my new to me CW45 started backing out after a couple of magazines. I replaced the spring. It still backs out but not as quickly. I'm going to order a new slide stop to see if that helps.

Some of my brass is coming out badly crunched. I don't mean just a little. It looks like some one took needle nose pliers and tried to bend the case mouth together.

And lastly, with an empty chamber the extractor sits deeper in the slide than on other Kahrs I have seen. With a round in the chamber, it comes up just flush with the side of the slide.

I would rather not have to return the gun to Kahr. Any ideas I could try first?

Read this thread first, especially the part about the slide stop spring, it position and tension. I suspect that is your issue.

Some Kahrs are tough on brass, might take a look at the extractor to see if anything looks blatantly wrong, the shape of the hook etc.

It's not really a chamber indicator per se.

Lots of folks here way smarter than me to help. Wait for it.

I'm with Bawanna on the slide stop spring. It's kinda like Goldielocks. Too much or too little either one is no good. If it functions ok I wouldn't worry about he brass too much as my cw45 crunches it a bit also. I think my extractor is about flush too.

You didn't mention how many rounds you shot through it but since about round 300 mine is really smooth. Accurate too. I think that once you get the slide stop settled down you'll be really happy with it.

Greg may chime in here in a bit and he's our 45 guru I would say.
