Hello all, I was hoping someone could tell me what the deal is with the "old style/new style" slides I've seen referenced a couple of times.

I have a CM9 that I would like to have Meprolight Night Sights installed on and want to make sure I purchase the correct sight.

I will be having a smith do the installation as Kahr wants $140 to do the job which to me, seems rather ridiculous.

All CM9s have the new style rear sight. The front sight is pinned, so there is no dovetail there.

why not seeif u can just buy the front sight only from kahr or Mepo.U can install it urself in about 5 minutes and IMO thatis allu need in a night sight is the front sight. In a shtf situation u ain't gonna see nuttin but the front sight anyways, if ur doing it right. U might wantto9 also look at the xs b ig dit for ur cm9, super sight and again u can just buy the front sight direct from xs sight company. super defense sight.

as usuall what JFootin stated is right to.

I'll second the front sight only on the CM9. I've got the dawsonprecision tritium front sight on mine It was easy to install and comes with it's own staking tool. Being square, it allows you to still use the traditional post/notch sight picture. It has a white dot on it to draw your eye to it and I also painted mine white then orange with testors paint. It really pops.
