Where does everyone buy their bulk ammo?
Some day soon I want to start buying in bulk instead of paying so much per box and for separate shipping.
Personally I'm interested in 5.56x45 and 9mm luger.

Two good sources for ammo are:
M.A.H. supply at www.prestostore.com/cgi-bin/storefront.pl?ref=hotpig27
SG Ammo at www.sgammo.com/

It depends on what you want, freedom munitions, and surplus arms are both good. I have nothing against SGA other than paying for shipping when they are 45 minutes from my house.

I buy some bullets local, some mail order, brass is half "pick-up", half ordered new, all the primers and powder local.... which reminds me, I need to pick up another couple or four cases of primers and more powder
other than SG shells for bird hunting, I haven't bought more than 3-4 boxes of factory ammunition in the last year, but I've put a lot of rounds through the revolvers:)
I do miss the days of 9mm Blazer Brass at $4.29 per box though

How do you guys get around the "adult signature" required for ammo delivery? Im never home to sign for stuff!

I've never had to sign for ammo and always add to the order in the instructions "Packages may be left at the front door, weather permitting." I've seen "Adult Signature Required" offered as an option for an additional fee, but no thanks. I do buy a LOT of ammo online.
It depends on your situation. Our mail and all are delivered to our front door, which is about 150 feet from the street. I'm usually home and watching... and I do have surveillance cameras. I think the distance is a big deterrence for would-be thieves, too.
Under the AMMO sub forum there are discussions and lists of places.

I've purchased from www.ammoman.com with good results and occasionally really good prices. Right now, however, their stock is very low for some reason.
You can send them a photocopy or scan of your driver's license, and they won't require the adult signature for deliveries.

Try targetsportsusa.com. Love that place. Probably bought and fired 30,000 rounds from them last couple years. Like the above recommended ammoman, they both have free shipping when you buy a case (1,000 rounds of the calibers you mentioned).

Palmetto state armory. Good bulk prices and no adult signature required. They are prompt and efficient also.

NOTICE CUSTOMERS - EXPECT SHORT SHIPPING DELAYS DUE TO A SPIKE IN VOLUME - WE WILL BE WORKING EXTRA TO KEEP DELAYS MINIMAL.
We are currently working on purchasing and receiving new stock, but expect many products to be unavailable of the coming weeks due to shortages and price increases we deem unacceptable in the wholesale market. Expect possibilities of some price increases on some goods as they come in, as availability is very low in the wholesale market and we cannot be as selective in terms of price as we normally would be, nor will we have negotiating power in volume purchasing under current market conditions. We will remain dedicated to continuing to search for and offering the best values we can find at reasonable prices.

I usually buy my bulk 5.56mm from Natchez, my bulk 7.62mm from Wideners (which posted a 8-12 day shipping delay... I guess it's started...) and, oddly enough, for 9mm I just go to WalMart, Academy or gun shows and get the Remington 250rd bulk pack. WalMart also has pretty good prices on the 100rd boxes from Winchester and Federal. Natchez has pretty good prices for 9mm too, but I don't think I've ever bought from them.... I probably just need to order a 1K rd case from them and be done.

Depends on what you got. If you got 250 rounds of SD ammo for $66 then we all need to know where :D
If it's range ammo, FMJ, its about what it's been. Most of the bulk places are running stuff like WWB, Super-X, etc (I'm a Winchester ammo guy) at $125-ish for 500 rounds. $240-ish for 1000 rounds. Other brands are priced equivalently from what I've been seeing for the last 9 months.
Prices will go up after the current stock is depleted...guessing...but planning for it. I'm making my orders this week.
