I'm trying to remember what I used to know about Kerry (been a while since W. drubbed him in the '04 election).

I remember all the "swift boat" stuff. But didn't he like go to England after he came back from the war and protest against the USA over there? Threw away his medals, or something like that? And the whole hangin' with Hanoi Jane thing. Seems like just the kind of guy that Obozo would select to run (down) the military.

I've been reading this discussion on half a dozen gun boards, as well as hearing tidbits on Fox News. I will openly admit that the thought about that piece of trash having that much control over our military absolutley disgusts me. But, I think it wise to not be fooled by the arrogant tools in this administration. They know damned well the emotions they are stirring mationwide with this little "leak". Remember, "they" know how to selectively leak information to divert attention away from their true goals. I just have a feeling there's a real Saul Alinsky "chosen one" already lined up for a smooth confirmation to let us all get over the screaming, ranting and raving about a potential Kerry appointment.

I say we rally around old John (while we go to the John and puke our guts out), and not be fooled into accepting the true devil we don't know. "Thu Wun" now has four years to completely destroy our military structure, and his SoD appointee .... to be named later ..... will be a willing accomplice.

He had his military records sealed... must be nice to be rich(ly married) and have friends in high places. Before his "honorable' discharge was complete... still attached to the US Navy... he went to Paris to help the North Vietnamese AGAINST US... during wartime... aid and comfort to the ENEMY! He participated in protests and propaganda against the U.S. Military during a time of war. He fits right in with this administration! Who better to preside over the DECLINE of our military!! They have to be weakened and "good" leaders installed, to help the National Police Force "stronger than the military" that Candidate Obama said WE NEEDED!!

I would agree if it was a normal human being. If anyone disagrees I'll of course delete it and ban myself for whatever time is decided is fair. If we continue to dwell on nothing but politics around here which sadly need to be in the open the job may become available.

This one is so far over the line I am not sure how anyone could make excuses for the decision. Appointing Kerry to the position is clearly a direct slap in the face to the military. I cannot imagine the armed forces would let this go without a response. When Hillary banned uniformed military personnel from the Whitehouse, the staff at the Pentagon refused to go to the building for any reason. After a few days with no briefings and an empty situation room, she changed her mind. Rumor? No, I was in the Pentagon shortly after and was directly told this by officers who participated in the "strike".

Don't know if you are up on the China news. They just "elected" a new big shot (title?) member of their team who is ultra conservative meaning anti USA, Taiwan, South Korea, etc. Also it came out that North Korea is using Chinese ships to transport arms to the middle east. They have openly declared to use space as a launching platform and are setting up a space station.

If you tie in the Iran nukes, al-Qaeda training bases in Iraq, CIA running guns to al-Qaeda in Libia and I suspect Syrian rebels.

If you put all that together, maybe Kerry is the only one vain, immoral and dumb enough to take the job. Add Pelosi or Feinstein as Secretary of State and you have a perfect third world type government appointing oly those to office you can control or credibly blame and eliminate when things go wrong. And we know how well Obama can blame others for his failings.
