Bought a pm9 with approx. 500 rounds through it. If I load more that 4 rounds in any mag the gun wont cycle. I've tried new mags also Any ideas Thanks Tucker

have u read the propper prepping thread?? on the ahr tech section. U could have a magazine release button grabbing on the follower and causing this. The gun can't count, so it would have to be in the magazine.
If ur talking about 147 grain ammo. u might check the OAL o the rounds to see if they could be bnding in the magazine. If the gun cycles perfect with 124 grain and 115 grin, then IMO, u need to get away from the 147 grain ammo. more than likeyl the magzines springs are in correctly but again I would check that out also. It has happened before.
U bought it used, what is the date of birth on the gun (serial #).

The only malfunction I've had in my CM9 was with 147gr Golden Sabre. The fifth round in the magazine failed to raise the tip up far enough to load into the chamber. 115 and 124 grain fed without any problems?

OP, can you please describe in detail what is happening? We can't help with what you've given us.
jocko... you are full of good information and help for kahr owners. I don't know if you're typing on a tablet one handed while herding cats or what, but your posts are so darned hard to read.

More info needed. And jocko is herding horses, not cats.

Not surprised. It is perfectly normal for a particular weapon to prefer one type/kind of ammo over another. It happens all the time.

Serial Number is VB9801 if that helps. I polished the feed ramp and the mag lips. dosnt seem to help. If I put more that 4 rounds in the mag and I "slingshot" the slide, the round wont chamber .The round hits the bottom of the feed ramp . I have tried 124 grain HST Federal, also tried 115 ball ammo and same results. If I hit the back of the slide it will go into battery. Thanks again for the help.

Have you tried charging the gun by using the "Slide Release" instead of slingshoting ?

After a reasonable breakin period if it still does not like a particular ammo move on and and shoot something else. Weapons can be a bit finicky about what they fire.

I have used the slide release with the same results

I'm now using Hornady Critical Duty 135gr. +P. Feeds OK, expands really well, and Jacket stays on the bullet. Plus it's 25 rounds per box and I can function test it more in my giun.

I would just go to anutter brand of ammo and shoot thegun for anutter 500+ rounds with what ever works fine for u and then just retry again and see what flows. Sometimes a gun just needs to get to a certain stage (what ever that is) and it then seems to like things it din't like at first. Certainly not worth getting to excited over either as there are just to many great OTHER rounds out there..No doubt if it works with the other brands, then it must be the ammo and IMO not the gun, These gun companies make good guns,, most all do but they can;'t forsee every ammo makers rounds either and there fore u might just incur a gun that does not like certain rounds where as ur buddies does. It is what it is.
MyP380 did not like 102 golden sabres, most here report no issues. I just do not trust the 380 with thqat round, so my round of choice and total reliability is the powerball...
