Anybody have any experience with one? If so what were your thoughts on it?

Don't have a P2000sk, but I do have a 40 and a couple of 45's, and for their size, they're the best guns I own. IMO, if it's an HK it's gonna be good. Jenny Shepherd used a P2000sk in NCIS.

Shot one in .357sig once, didn't think it was anything special.
Also owned (and sold) an USP in 9mm (didn't care for it)
Have (and will keep) a P7 which I luv

I have two P2000 357 LEM guns.
They are both bombproof and near match accurate.
The P2000SK is arguably one of the best concealed carry guns of the
Heckler and Koch line. In 9mm, 357 Sig or 40 you can't lose.
Highly recommend the LEM V2 configuration.
With factory springs the trigger can be adjusted from 8,7,6,5 lbs.
If you get one, the only thing the gun needs is an extended mag release.

I also hve a P2000sk in 9mm. I looked at both the LEM trigger and DA/SA when I bought almost 6 years ago and choose the standard DA/SA trigger, probably because I'm more used to it that the other. Either would have worked.

I began a search for a new CCW, wanting to retire the pistol I'd carried for almost 15 years. I looked at every gun I could find of a similar size and style, but the HK really stood out, IMHO, as the best one for me. I looked at other HKs, Walther, Sig, S&W, Glock, Springfield and probably a few others.

The best way I can describe my feelings about the P2000sk is the by stating a simple fact; it makes me smile every time I shoot it. Each range session I'm reminded how good this gun is. It fits my hand well, (I use the extended Vs the flat mag base), the controls are just where I want them. I prefer the paddle mag release, the mags are super substantial, the size and weight are easily concealed. I shoot the gun very well. It is accurate and easy to shoot rapidly.

At the range, the gun just seems to want more and more. The P2000sk shares mags with the USPc and P2000, so I can use the 13 round mags for practice. HK sells a grip "filler" to fit on the extended mag to make this even more enjoyable. It points well and resets quickly. Perhaps most importantly, of all my HKs, a P7, USP, USPc, USP Elite, P2000sk, not one of them has failed. In my opinion you cannot buy a better pistol. Though not inexpensive, the guns are robust, reliable, of high quality and long service lives.

A great read on another forum is the "Project Break My P2000, by Greg Bell. It's a long forum run but interesting to see how he abused the gun, (for example by slamming a car door on it).

I had one and. I did like it and wanted it to be my main carry but it wasn't easy for me to conceal. So I sold it and bought MK9 which I can carry without any problems. The hk was thick. If this isn't a problem for you then get it you will have a gun you will love as long as you can get along with the magazine release which I liked. Good luck

Before you shell out the money, read my thread about the Walther PPQ. I cite just a few of hundreds of examples of people who have owned or at least fired HKs and everything else under the sun, and came to the conclusion that the PPQ is superior to all of them. Including Larry Vickers, the tactical trainer.

Yeah that PPQ is a pretty sweet gun. Right now the guns I am concsidering are the HK, the new XDS, an MK40, or a Springfield micro 1911. I am trying to find a gun that isnt to heavy and will fit my small hands.

The PPQ is 21.6 oz without a magazine, is very thin for a doublestack gun and has interchangeable backstraps. It has that super sweet trigger, the balance and the ergonomics. And it can be purchased (if you can manage to grab one) for a bit over $500. How does it not beat out the gun in the title of your thread?

Size matters.

From another forum about the PPQ;

"I love my PPQ, but...

...I am needing something a little smaller to EDC..."
The PPQ is a good bit larger than the P2000sk. It's a matter of a compact versus a full sized pistol. The HK offers a number of trigger options as well as adjustable grips and has a hammer, (an important feature for some people). I own both brands, I like and admire both brands, but the P2000sk is a terrific firearm.

The only reason the PPQ doesn't beat the HK is because it has a 4in barrel. I am looking for something like a 3in barrel.
