I am looking for feedback from those here who own one of these kahr's. I am wanting to know how reliable these particular models perform the break in period aside?
I am thinking of ordering a brand new one and was wanting to know if kahr has worked out the issues with these by now? What if any issues were these known for? Thanks for any help guys and feel free to post pics of your PM45's.

I love mine and have never had a problem, although I did buy it used (and got a smoking deal with diamond coat and anight sights) It eats what I feed it and always goes bang. http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn271/canoesmith/photo.jpg

Dang! That IS a good deal. I bought mine new March 2010 for twice that much. I had a few problems and some of the fixes had to be fixed... badly engraved replacement slide had to be replaced and eventually the frame, but after 4 trips back, it's perfect.:D
Not all are so much trouble, though. Mine was worth the trouble... to me!

I love my PM45. It is my favorite of my three Kahrs (also own a PM9 and a P380). I haven't had any problems with it. I've got enough rounds through it to have replaced the recoil spring assembly. It doesn't seem to be ammo sensitive. The recoil is not anywhere near what I would have expected from such a small .45 pistol. The gun is very accurate (as opposed to me...I only a so-so shot). I've had it for about a year, and the serial number is in the SV39## range, if that helps with manufacture date. I would recommend it to anybody that wants a small, light, concealable, reliable, large calibre CCW weapon. If it was stolen, or I otherwise was deprived of it, I'd be out beating the bushes for a good deal on another one ASAP. And, of course, I just love those slow, fat bullets (right Bawanna?).
I got two. Bought a new one, then liked it so much , I got a used one.
Both are fully and 100 percent functional. Accurate, safe. Dependable... tiny. I love 'em both. Got a pm9 after that, used too... never a problem

I bought a used one three or four years ago. Never had a problem until it got itself stolen in February of last year. The only reason I haven't replace it is I think a CM45 will be released eventually.

I think you ought to keep it.
You're close enough to my place that if I had the money I'd buy it from you, but alas, have kid, no money. :( Just for kicks is yours the the black slide model? Please don't tell me it's black.

FYI, after initial hiccups my CW45 is really sweet and I plan to never get rid of it.

Thanks guys for all the info so far,I think I'm gonna give the PM45 a try. I have a CM40 that I like a lot but am more partial to the .45 round. How is the recoil of the PM45 compared to the CM40?

Milder, due to more weigh but mostly due to the lower pressure 45 ACP round.

didnt know you lived in my area....we ought to shoot sometime.
i have about 520 rounds though mine now. the last 50 like i said were flawless, im not going to carry it yet but if the next 100 rounds are flawless i will.
ive detail stripped the slide to ensure its clean, have a #6 torx enrout for slide stop spring change and a hogue jr. handall so it fills my hand a little more.
if i can get this thing to run right i will be buying the night sights, 6 round mags, other leather gear.....

i just changed out my slide stop spring...PIA!!!!
anyway, the old spring vs. the new one show slight differences......there is considerably less play with the slide stop now.
