and they said it was made dec. 24 2001 ok, i askd them if they had any idea how many p9 coverts were made he said he wasn't sure bc serial numbers ran in with regular p9's then he told me to hold on and he would try to find out , when he got back on he said only a couple hundred than they switched to pm, is this right i would have thought that they made more than just a couple hundred ,if so thats not very many.

Better for you if it is true. Puts yours in rare bird status.

won't make it any more valuable one way or the other. The nice thing is thatis was not a mod made by the owner. It is all original. enjoy the gun, it is really nice.

Au contraire weed hopper. I know guys that will absolutely pay 20% or more for rare bird or my favorite "tactical". This included guns, gear, or jockey shorts.
I wish I could remember the details but one of the guys, a firearms instructor, I call him inspector gadget cause he'll buy anything, you know the type, carries 6 surefire lights, 4 knives, 3 backup guns, camel back hydration, 14 extra hi cap mags. He was looking at something and selected the "tactical" model just knowing that it had to be better. I called the company rep, wish I could remember what it was, asked what the exact difference was. He said you got me, we just stenciled "tactical" on the side.
Kind of like the Chevy offroad pickup package. Sales guy that knew trucks told me you get an extra sway bar and a decal for like 1500 bucks.

Glock came out with some Model RTF and what is distinctive about them was the slide serrations, as I found out they will not make it anymore. Is that qualify that gun as rarity? maybe, only time will tell, I got one G17 RTF and is in layaway they are hard to find, I bought because of the price $435(LEO Discount) new out the door. I was debating between the Bareta 92 INOX($699 and is out of my budget of $550) and the G17 RTF.

This is rough, actually not, the particles are rubber so you can squeeze it. Why do I think of the tongue just now?

I have this same pistol and I love it! I heard they are making some other models like the 19 in the RTF2. I know they have the RTF2 now with the straight slide serations and its not the Gen 4, have you seen any?

You can get the G19 in RTF without the "fishgill" serrations. Still considered Gen 3. I don't think the Glocks with fishgill serrations will be any more valuable in the future. There were plenty of them made, as evidenced at recent local gun shows.

I do not considered to be more valuable, however it may be for a collector in the future and it may be willing to pay a premium for that gun, even if they plenty made, the guns will become scarce at some point in the future. :eek:

Now I have not seen any yet, I already have 19 3gen, I was missing the G17 and found this one with a discount. The rarity of the gills sweetened the deal.
