Any way to get a flat magazine base plate for a CW9? Do the metal base plates on the Kahr site fit flush with the grip? When I ankle carry the lip on the polymer base plate catches my pant leg during a presentation.
Thanks in advance for your help.

No, there's a gap, but it shouldn't catch on your pant leg.

The metal base plates worked great. The slight gap doesn't bother me at all. The ankle holster draw is snag free and the pistol lost about 1/4" of height.

Can you post a pic with it on, in the gun?

In addition to xaircav's photo, Pistol Pedro posted two photos of the metal base plate installed on a magazine in a CW9 here: http://kahrtalk.com/showpost.php?p=9200&postcount=18

How many rounds are in the flat plate mag versus the stock with 7??? Do you loose a couple of rounds????

You loose nothing but grip length.

None are as good as ol'coot's prototype, and we are all waiting patiently for the production verson.

Here is my CW9 with the metal mag baseplate. I wouldnt want ANYTHING but this setup. The plastic baseplate dint even help for grip IMO and just looked tacky and was not in contour with the grip, which made it print.

I am trying my CW9 out at my house in my brand new Ramora holster(so far this thing is AWESOME! pistol hasnt moved a mm the whole day with sitting standing, pull ups all kinds of activity)

A bit of an old thread, but does this flat mag allow the CW9 to be pocket carried?

It helped with my now departed CW40 which is about the same size as your CW9. I tried one off the magazine shipped with my then new PM40.

I found it about the same as just sanding most of the excess plastic off the bottom of the CW40 standard plastic base plate, which is cheaper than buying new steel bases. As a bonus, the sanded down plastic base looks nicer, to my eye. Note: I used 600 grit for the final finish and it almost looked like it had been molded in the new shape.

However, the real solution is either a PM series (with one less round, thus a shorter grip) or the new CM9. On both of these options the shorter barrel helps too.

Best of luck! :)
