Happy Thanksgiving to you Jocko, and the forum. Very well spoken.
Thanksgiving....
I am constantly thankful that I am aware of at least some of the manifold blessings the Almighty has seen fit to toss my way. We are too blind to most of it.. wrapped up in our own little persona to give acknowledgement to His hand in all that is good.
Thankful for the men and women who willingly put themselves in harms way, to keep the rest of us out of harms way.
I am thankful that I learned and experienced a truer meaning of friendship, and truer meaning of love this year.
I'm thankful that somehow... some way.. I survived another year, through all the times of doubt, misery, heartache, trials, temptation.... Jesus was never far from my side.
And I'm really thankful that three out of four gals I knew had get outta town knockers!

well that is a pretty good percentage, certainly nuttin to sneeze about.. Course up here in Indiana now most of the good knocker gals are starting to cover them up with wool sweaters, scarfs. then big damn jackets. Kinda makes winter a real bummer.. Hooters and Showme's business seems to really pick up alot to. At least that is what they tell me as I never go into those places. Just sayin
My momma used to tell me,,,"son don't go into those places for they are places of ILL REPUTE". now I never knew WTf that was even, I thought it might a sickness or desease, like the flue or diahrea, so I just stayed away. I sure hope that my momma was not b-sing me as I see ahell of alot of cars there every day,so I bet there is alot of sick people leaving there--uthinketh???

Thanks Jocko (and all the moderators too) for keeping us on our toes and for helping keep this an informative AND fun forum.
Now I better get to sleep so I can flip the bird over in the brine at midnight. Thank you Lord for this plump wonderful bird!

The wife and I are volunteering at the local High School to help with providing Thanksgiving Dinner to those who lost everything in my area due to Hurricane Sandy. Couldn't make us happier!

Happy Thanksgiving to my KahrTalk Family.
I am most thankful to have a healthy happy family and to live in a country that is still free.
I am thankful for the men and women who defend those freedoms in terrible places so we can enjoy our lives here at home.
Thanks to all the members and mods here for providing a great place to exchange ideas and humor and occasionally a place to vent.
Jocko, thank you for being a unique character who constantly surprises me with your wit, humor and compassion. Thank you my Friend!. Enjoy!

Woke up this morning at 0530 to the smell of something cooking. Thought that someone got into the house and was hungry. Come to find out that SWMBO had already put the turkey in the oven. This is unheard of as SWMBO never gets out of bed until 0900 or later. Just hope that there will be no repercussions from her not getting all of the sleep that she needs.
In any event, hope that everyone (and jocko) have a good Thanksgiving.
Thank you Lord for this plump wonderful bird!
And thank you for the turkey as well!~

Yeah, Thanks for being here to all of you. I will not miss 2012 when it's gone. The battle of the back has changed a bunch about my life forever and it would be easy to be bitter.
But today finds me Thankful for all the good folks who could have srugged, done the minimum and moved on in their own lives with ease. So many people have stepped up and gone above and beyond to make it possible for me to go forward with dignity. Others (like the good folks here) have been there to remind me that life is an on going struggle for everyone and to keep me grinning instead of brooding.
When I was younger I tried to be that bolster for those freinds down in their luck and now I know what that must of meant to those folks then. I'm guessing my Karma or such is good...
So today I lift a prayer of thanks for all the good folks I have met on this years journey "thru the valley" and I wish all of them and you the best.
That said... come on 2013, it's got to be a better one than 2012 was!
Peace

Thank you Jocko! Thank you to so many here that I regard as true friends, though cyber ones! This forum and its members make a significant contribution to my sanity and my mood on a daily basis.
Thank God for America, for the cornucopia of abundance and blessing that it has been for all of us who are priviledged to be its citizens. As our founding fathers fully acknowledged, it was God's providence that created this nation as a champion of human rights and freedom. Though so many today want to deny God's blessings and his moral law, I believe that he still has good and merciful intentions for this nation. So, thank God for blessing yet to be bestowed upon us! :)

Also want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Would take way to long for me to list the things I'm thankful for but a few are my health, my family, a good job and that I live in a country where I'm still relatively free to live my life the way I want to. Special thanks to all the military guys out there past and present who make all that possible. On a lighter note..looks like I'll be having chicken today..can't find the dang turkey :(

Happy Thanksgiving Jocko, and to all of the KahrTalk family! I have the turkey on the Green Egg, and am cooking with the kids. Looks like another good meal headed our way. This year my heart is a bit heavy at the loss of my friend Mark, and thoughts are with his family. I am thankful that I had the chance to know him, and the chance to be there for his family as I know he would have been for mine. It is a year to think of absent friends, and the wonderful lives lived.

Hope everybody had a great day with family & friends yesterday. We will be celebrating today since the local football game & tailgate took up most of Thursday.
We'll be throwing in extra prayers for my DIL, because this may be her last Thanksgiving.
