Cw9 slide sticks when chambering 7rd mag

New to the forum-

I just bought a used cw9 - cleaned it took it to the range - loaded 4 in the mag - pulled the slide back - ran perfect

Loaded - 7 in the mag -pulled the slide back -it stuck back - I was able to release the slide by using the slide release but it was very difficult

Tried it again and I slide stuck again - I bumped the bottom of the mag and the slide closed

When I have six rounds in the mag it slingshots fine

Just want to be sure it's not the mag - otherwise the gun is a dream

Any help would be great

get a new recoil spring and start from there. check ur magazine to see that everythinginside is ok and the way it should be, I would also polish under the magazine feed lips. SMOOTHIS GOOD.

Do u have anutter magazine to try out also to see if u can duplicate. Is the slide locking back like as what a last round would do , or is it sticking back . U stated u madeit work witht he slide release.That sounds tome like it is locking back.

If u can lock the slide back and then load a 7 round mag and use the slide lock lever to load and it does OK, then IMO it could be the shooter. 7 rounds in the magazin would be a tigh load magazine and possab ly the slingshot method ur using right now is not mastered enough for proper loading that way. Kahr recommends using the slide lock rlease to load the first round. test thatout tos ee if it works OK that way, If so, then "practice does not make perfect,,, but perfect practice does..

If this is ur first kahr, then most of here know that hand racking a kahr at the beginning is not an easy thing to do properly..
