I'm getting ready to change the recoil springs in my PM9. Bought the 3 spring set from Wolff. Any tricks to doing the change. Any suggestions thanks

u have 3 spings, oneis the striker spring. I would not even bother withtat, ur striker spring is OK. leave well enough alone.
I would also say to pass on that inner small recoil spring as u have to take that end nut off and it can be tricky, and then for sure u need to red locktite it back on, or u stand a good chance of loosing it. Normally all u need to replace is the outter spirng, which is what I have done since thegit go with all ofmy kahrs. I am assuming u have the blunt nose version PM9 so the wolffs spring kit is OK for that model.
I would in the next order just order the outter springs from wolffs and forget bout the others. they realy don't need replacing. If it ain't borke don't fix it, works best IMO..
so the trick is to change only the outter recoil spring and remember open end towards the front of the slide.

Jocko: Thanks for the info. I was thinking down those lines but I thought I would come here first with someone who has already went down that road. I'm hoping that takes care of the feeding issue. I know there is alot of good information here. Thanks for all the help.

Maybe I missed something, have you already chased the feed problem to the recoil spring? How many rounds thru the PM9 and what is the feed issue? A good deal of the nose dive and feed issue stuff is with the mags and not the gun. Changing recoil springs won't make that go away.

I believe the feed issue was the ammo. I went with the 124 grain Federal HST

was my PM9 used. I would prep it like it was anew gun. I would use that kahr lube chart to lube it properly. . I would read and look at some of the things mentioned in the pROPPER PREPPING OF UR KAHR THREAD.
chances are the gun is broken in as far as wearing in parts to mate up correctly etc. but assume nuttin to. This is a gun that u bought to save ur life if needed, so check out some things mentioned even though they may sound stupid or not needed. We just read here of an ownber with a P380 who found one of his magazines was improperly put together. again just assume nuttin. There are some things in these gun that we can't check out but there is alot we can check out to, just to be on the safe side. When u take your magazines apart, that is the time to polish under the feed lips of the magazine. That is also a good time to check to see if the magazne follower is grabbing on the mag release button, (see thread about that in propper preppng thread).
Once u do these little things once, u don't have to return to them anymore. More than likely alot of those little tips are not relevant to your gun even, But u don'tknow either. Error on the side of caution for your life ay depend on it..
Normally kahrs are not ammo sensitive, so once u get your kahr running right, u mght just retry the ammo that didn't work for you earlier to see.

Thanks for all the help. With all the suggestions and hints, the PM9 is working great. 250 rounds of 147 Federal HST, 124 grain Federal HST several different ball ammunition and no problems. Thanks again for all the help. Tucker
