been through a lot with this gun....day one, 49 rounds and locks up- it needed a new frame, sent it back kahr replaced it
a week later, 200 rounds- the rod flange broke, kahr sent me a new one
a week later, 100 rounds-then the extractor broke-back to kahr, they replaced it,and a new recoil spring(didn't know I need that, but I'll take it)
just got it back, went to the range 100 rounds shot of winchester flat nose, no problems, with either mag.....I think it is finally fixed for good(for now-as is any gun)...it shots great , feels great...life is good...goes with me everywhere

you guys are funny, I'll try not to break it....from now on only 50 rounds at a time at the range...which is once a week...my glock 17 gets 200 rounds at the range.....at any rate it's good to go now..and I'm glad....now I'm ready to shop for a holster..OWB for me

IMO the P380 with 50 rounds a week is about what I would think u would want to do evenl It ain't a range gun in that it is fun to shoot like your G17, and certainly =gonna cost alittle more to shoot it to.
Other than the frame needing replaced the other two things that broke were IMO just flukes. but they picked ur gun to do it all though..

agree, it is fun to shoot, and while it may cost bit more to shoot, I gotta be ready....
took my 14 yo to the range the other day(his first time) to shoot the 380..he loved it....he also liked the G17 too....he asked if the 380 could be his gun...I told him with all i've been through with this gun to get it right, it's mine....told him to save his money and he can buy his own gun.....let him earn it...he said he wants to be ready in case someone enters the house when I'm not home, or when the SHTF in the world.
I'd still recommend this to anyone as the best 380 CC gun that one can also have fun at the range with

I try to limit myself to 100 rounds per range trip. Any more than that and I'm just slinging lead.

"just slinging lead."
You say that like it's a bad thing. :D
I don't like wasting money either, but sometimes it takes more than 100 rounds for "lead therapy" to be fully effective.

that's why I bring the G17....very hardy and provides great therapy...recommended by a social worker :) :53: keep shooting till the stress is gone
I was only going to shoot 50 rounds from the 380...but know I know I can safely shoot 100 rounds...thanks muggsy

Jocko, you are always looking at the bright side. I agree about it is not a range gun, and it may not go 30,000 rounds like in your quote. I had a terrible time with my 380, it went back twice, the last time the frame was replaced, and since then all is o.k. It will even shoot flat nosed winchester. Bordering on humorous was the euphemisms from customer service, like the gun is out of spec. Hey, right out of the box?

oh contrar my friend, i did not say the gun would not hold up to an amount of rounds. I stated that 50 a shoot should be enough as cost was a factor to. If u will go back and read many of my P380 posts, I have never been a fan boi of the P380. Never. Is it a good gun??? Yup when it works right, Mine went back once before it was right and I have statred many times, that I still am not trust worty with that gun. Bad frames out of the box is not a good thing. YOurs was not the first they replaced either, but by and large the frame thing was not their issue. They have around 30-50K of these little guns out there, Mine was in the first 125 made and still the original frame..
It is more fun to look on the brite side to but I was never a real fanboi of the P380 and today I am still not, althogh this past year this gun has sure proven itself out to many owners where as a couple of years ago, it was the exact opposite. U got one that is now OK, I say put the past 2 trips behind u and now enjoy that P380 for what it was designed for U will soon forget about those two trips back, if the gun continues doing what it is dong for you. The past is the past.

My P380 had a couple of minor hiccups during the break-in period, but since then it's been flawless. Where I go the "Lil Bastard" goes. I won't leave home without it.

That's good to hear! Now you can say, like jocko, that they are the finest little pocket 380 when they are working correctly.
