PM9 disassembly problem

Hi just bought a PM9, and wanted to field strip it, but the slide won't come off of the frame. I took the slide stop out, pulled the trigger to release the striker, and now the slide should right off...but it only moves forward about a half an inch. I've never seen anything like this before. Does anyone have any ideas as far as getting the slide off of the frame?

Never mind...I pulled the slide off while holding the trigger all the way back...which seems like an odd way to have to do it

Actually you don't have to hold it. You just have to pull it so the striker is down. It sometimes helps to pull the trigger a little bit on reinstall too.

Just like them Austrian guns, you gotta pull the trigger first.

Release the trigger with the slide in its forward most position... no issues.
