Does anyone have photos of a fully engraved Kahr? If so who did the engraving.

Looked all over and cannot find any custom grips for the T9 either.
I guess I will not turn my T9 into a BBQ gun.

never seen a fully engraved Kahr. Maybe alittle would be OK but fully, leaves alot to be desired. Does the word Ghetto gun come into mind. I can't use that oter word that starts with a N.

If I ever own a T9, I'll make custom grips that will make you cry. But won't be anytime soon according to my financial advisor.

Not sure exactly what I want that is why I was asking for photos. I have never seen an engraved Kahr;curious to see some. I have seen all sorts of 1911s and HiPowers with engraving, some tasteful some over done.

I have been on here since day 1 and on this forum I have not seen a fully engraved kahr, . We have seen some nice/different slide work but again not alot. As nice a looking as the steel kahrs are. it is hard to beat the 1911's body's for good egraving work.
The greatone can make any steel kahr look like a million bucks with his grip work..

I don't see any point in engraving a carry gun, but that's just me. To me a Kahr is just a tool.

If you decide to add a small amount of tasteful work on your Kahr, Cylinder and Slide will be glad to charge you a big fat price. http://www.cylinder-slide.com/mk9.shtml

I have been assisting a friend with arranging some pistol engraving, and we used Gray Laser Engraving.
http://www.graylaser.com/
Their pricing was quite reasonable and they can work from computer graphics files. Very quick service too. If what you want can be done via laser, I would give them a shout.

Some guns look so good engraved. I can only imagine being able to afford one of these, and not be nervous about carrying it.

Hey! All it takes is more money than I will ever be allowed to spend on a 1911. :o
I can't even get approval for a well used, 60+ year old Garand.
Bawanna
11-28-2012, 04:14 PM
I'm a firm believer in if you want it bad enough, you'll find a way.
Took me 20 years to get my 42 Garand, it was a very nice day when it finally happened.
Right now I couldn't afford a magazine for that beauty let alone buy the gun but I'll find a way given time.
I figure you can spend wisely or waste money on stuff like house payments, food, gas, all that meaningless junk that just sucks your pay check dry.

u mentioned that. We had an old time movie star TEX TERRY who stared in over 150 movies with Gene and Roy, always the bad guy. anyway he had a tavern/restaurant called Tex Terry's place out in the countryt and he always drove a caddy hardtop with a Wincheser lever action chrome plated on each front fender and handguns for door handles. a hugh set of Bll Horns on the hood.. All white caddy but wit gold colored bumpers. He was sumpin else back in the day. He always walked around in his tavern wearing his cowboy outfit with dual holsters colts, asll chrome plated. He had alot of memorabilia from gene and Roy

I had a guy from Missouri (A member) did mine. It's a nypd k9, as a tribute to 9/11 coincidentally the gun's born on date.
I've since gone back to the Stock Black Kahr grips.

Thanks for all of the input guys.
I have looked at some beautiful pistols;Renaissance Grade Brownings,Colt 1911s and even some very nicely done Colt single actions. I guess I thought I wanted to personalize one of my handguns. After much thought; I don't open carry and don't go to any BBQs where anybody open carries and I don't dress in cowboy clothes so I think my money would be more wisely spent adding another Kahr to my inventory. Maybe a P9 or TP9 either would be lighter than the T9 and would give the PM9 a break from almost constant duty.
Thanks again
Chuck
I forgot, I do have a personalized handgun. It is a NAA Guardian fully melted, front and back straps stippled and the serial number personalized to my specification.

I think you need to get out to a few more open carry barbecues wearing cowboy attire. You'll feel a lot better.
Course this has absolutely no impact on getting another Kahr or pistol of any kind as it's probably poor etiquette to show up to the barbecues with the same pistol over and over and over again.
I'd engrave away and get personal myself.

I never get invited so I have to host them, nobody, I mean nobody turns down free barbecue and beverages. Sometimes they even speak to me in a semi polite manner before they leave.

Although rumor has it Mr Surveyor (in Texas) throws some of the best BBQ's, Bawanna also has a standing invitation to ours (here in Tucson).
Hands down, Surv has the hottest chili. But, we make up for it with booze here at our house. :p

wow.... engraving turned into cooking????? cool:D
I do love my peppers... everything else like beef, pork, birds (the eatin kind), crawfish, fish in general, tomatoes and any other edible vegetable, apples (I do love apple/jalapeno pie), water melon, water, air - all condiments (not the jocko kind) or ingredients to add to the peppers:)
I would like to have all my pistol slides engraved with the images of peppers
did we settle on an engraver?

I better keep heading for Tucson, I can't handle that hot stuff too good. My grandpa used to eat them things out of the jar, I went to taste one once and one single drop of the juice hit my tongue. We were at our cabin right next to a river. I wanted to go throw myself in, put a fire extinguisher in my mouth and swallow it. Thought I was surly dead.

That picture eliminates the need for them Cialis bath tub pills. If this last for more than 12 hours should I call my gun shop?
I'm gonna try the desk top thing too, not to be a copy cat or anything. Not sure I even know how but I gotta try at least until nap time.
