I would like to know how many times I've reloaded an individual case. So my question is "do you mark your reloaded cases so you can keep track of how many times they've been loaded?"
Thanks,

Short answer...no.

A long time ago when I was shooting competition, I used to segregate my match brass from my range brass.
I also sorted my brass by mfg.

When I shot revolver matches - yes, I sort of "kept track". When I first began to reload too.

Then I began to work for the range, where we loaded a lot of ammo. We had a reloading factory in fact. Remelting lead, pouring bullets on ferris-wheel mold setup, sorting brass, cleaning, lubing bullets, and finally reassembly into shootable ammo.

It was at that point I fully realized that it pretty much doesn't matter, except for serious rifle ammo.

Did you know that brass will ring, except when its cracked? We had a guy that could pick out cracked brass from the sorter box just by the sound it made when it hit the pile of brass under it. Amazing!

We basically shot the brass till it was cracked.... saved those for scrap.

But if you really gotta mark 'em... SHARPIE

Thanks for the information, the cracked brass not ringing should be a big help and it makes a lot of sense. My Husband and I play bluegrass music so our ears are fairly well trained therefore, adding our "ears" to our eyes when we check brass should be easy.
