Team,
I have a PM9 I really like. Have an opportunity to buy a used CW45 for $350 including a little new ammo. He says he's been carrying it daily for a year and claims it has about 600-700 rounds thru it. Have a call in to look at it. Is this a good buy though? Buds has them new for $365. What's a fair price? In the pics it looks like its in good shape and I'm going to ask to shoot it before purchase. Haven't bought a used gun before so thanks for any advice too.

Unless you're getting a lot of rounds with the gun, seems a bit high since as you say you can get a new one for $365 (+FFL transfer).

You just missed NEW ones selling yesterday for $329...Which was a heck of a good price IMO.

(It is now $359 at PSA link above, but was a "deal of the day" yesterday. I still have the tab open as I looked at it more then once yesterday LOL)
I think with possible warranty issues in mind, I would buy a new one for under $400...JMHO
But being able to shoot it before purchase has its benefits as well and it is already broken in.

Actually, Bud's new price is $355.00. I just bought one. Without a bunch of accessories, I'd go for the new one.

I thought you only get the warranty thru kahr if you were the original buyer, if thats so the most i would pay is $275-$300 with the ammo.

BASICALLY that is true, but normally if the gun is not like 4 or more years odl kahr will work with most all owners. U might have to pay ostage to get it t them but they willget it back to you.

Thanks guys. He must have sold it; sent an email saying he thought he had a buyer then didn't hear anymore. About $300 was what I was thinking as reasonable if it was in good shape.

Here is a hint from somebody who has handled hundreds of used small arms. If you are happy with your PM9, take it apart and look at the wear patterns on the internals. See, in effect, what parts are shiny from wear and how the shiny places look. Then, keep that in mind when you examine a used handgun and consider whether statements about round count are accurate.
