One CM9, two extra mags (including the semi-dreaded 7-rounder), and a Mika pocket holster inbound for a grand total of $not-too-bad, including FFL.
I had a PM9 a while back, and it disappeared one very, very bad day.
I'm getting married here in just a few days, and with some wedding present money coming my way I suddenly got the itch. After applying powder appropriately, I then started thinking about buying a Kahr sort of like I think about Kate Middleton - gee, that'd be nice but who has the money?
I've mostly eschewed pocket carry for the past few years, although in the winter months I've hauled around a SP101 in a Mika (who I endorse shamelessly) fairly easily but it's not something I can throw in a pair of slacks or really anything that isn't loose- fit jeans or a good jacket pocket. I've had an LCP for a year or two and it is what it is - a well-functioning low-price compromise.
I didn't even know about the CM9 until I logged onto Kahr's website for the first time in a long time, just to drool fondly over the PM9 and its one of the world's most disheartening MSRPs.
Far be it from me to call Kahr overpriced, but I've asked myself "Do they know there's competition out there?"
And apparently they do: lo and behold, the CM9!
Before I could wipe myself, I threw money at Rob Mika (who actually called me the next day to see if I'd heard anything about his holster, and I got to tell him I loved it so much I'd do unspeakable things to mine if it was legal in my state. But seriously, good guy and I'd never buy anything else based on 5 years schlepping that SP101) and price-shopped like I was my future mother-in-law. Buds Gun Shop did me right, and here I am eagerly awaiting that - forgive me - new Kahr smell.
