Need the possiblilty to carry two mags for a class im looking to take in January. I don't think I would ever carry 2 mags at once, so I was thinking about buying 2 seperate mag carriers. Any thoughts? Also some suggestions? I really like my pj holster, so I was thinking of giving my business back to Paul for the carriers. If anyone has some other options, let me know! You guys (and gals) are always full of great info! (yeah... even jocko and bawanna sometimes) :D

There's tons of Twin Pack mag carriers/cases out there. I have one for my 45 and my 9mm's
My 229 shoulder rig has a single spare mag holder built in.... but these are 12 rd mags too
I've bought every one of mine off the forum classified ads saved $ and someone cleared out some room on the sellers side. Win/Win!
Dowtownv is absolutely correct. There are a ton of choices out there.
Of course, that just adds to the complexity of your decision. IWB, or OWB? Vertical or horizontal? Single or multiple? Leather or Kydex? Tuckable or exposed? Ammo facing forward, or backwards? Weather/retention flap, or open top? C-clip or J-clip? Lotsa choices, indeed.
Here are a few things to consider, as you try to narrow-down the field of options.
Kydex proponents are quick to remind us that leather holds moisture and plastic does not. That may be in a concern in certain climates. Kydex holsters can be more compact than leather, because the material is thinner and more rigid.
If you will ever use the mag holder in IDPA, you may prefer an open-top design, without a retention flap. You may also prefer OWB.
If you train using your index finger to guide the fresh mag to the mag-well, you will likely prefer a carrier that holds the bullets forward. Some mag pouches can be used either way. Other types are direction-specific.
If your go-to holster is a PJ, I think it makes perfect sense to use PJ magazine carriers. Some prefer the classic look of leather, but as long as you have already adopted Kydex for your holster, PJ is a great choice for mag carriers. I love the simple, compact design.
Good luck with your selection. Please come back and tell us about the course.

It seems to me that, with the bullets facing backward and the magazine being carried upside down, you simply rotate it upright and insert it into the gun. If the bullets are facing forward, the magazine is not oriented correctly when you bring it upright. Unless you are rotating your hand to correct it. Enlighten me.

If they face back when down they will still face back when you rotate the wrist to face them up.
I like the kind Laura Kraft used in Tomb Raider? They flip out and you slide the gun over them.

Mine are carried bullet forward and I just pluck them from the Kydex holder and stick them in my pistol. You can adjust to whichever way you carry, but I prefer adjustable Kydex OWB(opposite side) mag holders that are adjustable for retention... no straps or buttons to make noise or "fool with". Of course, my EDC rides in a Kydex IWB holster with retention aided by belt tightness, as well as the Kydex fitted to the pistol... Cross Breed Mini Tucks.
Check for latest prices and magazine availability. I sent Mitchell one each of my Kahr mags for him to make molds of, so he should be covered for the Kahrs... other makes might need an example sent to him... it will come back with your order. My post here:

My latest extensive order is pictured on page 3 near the end of this thread.

Sorry for the late reply, but Old Lincoln and Wnytrout have it covered.
Try this. Let your arms hang naturally to your sides. Your index finger is the forward-most finger (excluding your thumbs). Drop your palm on the baseplate of your mag and keep your index finger extended. If your index finger is to align with the bullet tips, your ammo needs to face forward.
Search "mag change drills" on YouTube. Sometimes a picture is worth 1000 words.
Good luck with your training. Mag change drills can be done at home, with no ammo. Do 50 mag changes a day for a month, and you'll be faster than any of your range friends.
