People of KharTalk; here’s your chance to get started in reloading. I am giving away absolutely free a Lee Breech Lock Challenger Press with a few selected items that will get you on your way. I’ll even pay the shipping (cheapest way possible) straight to your door or if you don’t have a door, where ever you have a portal to your abode.

This press was replaced by a Lee Turret and since purchasing the Turret, the Challenger has been sitting on the shelf. The scale was replaced with a more user friendly scale.

What you get is the press, a Lee Safety Powder scale, one small pistol primer arm and one large pistol primer arm, 9 quick change bushings and instructions for the press and the scale.

The lucky winner will be able to produce about 50 to 75 rounds per hour but at the minimum you will have to purchase or have access to – dies, a caliper, a powder measure (or use the Lee dipper set), a funnel to load the powder into the case, two loading blocks, empty cases, primers, powder and bullets. Oh yea, a loading manual will be very helpful.

Conditions for entry

A minimum of 25 posts.
You do not currently have a press, will use this press and not sell it onwards.
If you outgrow the press, you will pass it on to another KharTalk or a family member.
Just reply to this post with something like – “put me in”, “pick me”, “I’m in” etc.

I will let this run for a period starting on the 8th of December and running to the 25th of December then pick a name out of a hat. The winner will be notified in another thread and by PM for shipping address. Not sure when I’ll be able to ship due to the Christmas Holidays.

Wow, that is a great deal for a new beginning reloader. However I can't be included because I have been reloading for over 40 years. New "Want to be" reloaders need to jump at this offer. :israel:

You sir, are a class act. I have been using a single stage press for forty years and will always stay that way. I don't need it, but I thank you as much as if I had won it.
I hope you find it a good home and the winner remembers your kindness by doing the same for somebody else someday.

Pay it forward.

NOT IN. But I just wanted to say you are a class act MW. I used a Lee single stage for years, and it always did a great job. I only had dies for 44 mag/special and 45. I found the rythym of the procedure to be quite relaxing, and 50 rounds and hour was quite enough for my needs.

very nice gesture. another hundred bucks or so for a die set, caliper/micrometer, chamfer/debur tool, primer pocket tool (and maybe add a bit more for a dedicated hand priming tool) and someone will be in business.

I'm not asking to be "in" for the drawing, just couldn't resist promoting your effort.

edit to add: I'm also a real fan of the Lee quick lock bushing system. Makes die changes extremely fast and easy.

One of the main reasons why I am going a bit long on this. Gives some of the newer people a chance.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring.

I've been wanting to get into reloading for sometime but really don't even know where to start.

And I'll repeat what has already been said more than a few times, thank you for offering this set up. Most folks would just try to sell but this is truly an amazing gesture, no, a truly amazing action that you are offering up. I truly appreciate what you are doing and wish the best to who wins this set!

Did the powder measure from this ( I'm assuming it was the anniversary kit) work on yer turret? Classic or deluxe?

Did not even try to make it work on the classic turret. Bought a powder measure pro for the turret. Still use the powder measure from the kit when I am loading 357 magnum rounds. I do those in batches rather than use the progressive feature of the turret.

Must be something to that Surveyor handle, good peeps you both are. :) Funny thing about reloading, I've been saving my brass for about 3 years, just planning ahead and just about gave it away to a buddy who reloads, then this offer popped up. With my posts on my P380 worries http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=15851&page=2, (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=15851&page=2)

Hello MW Surveyor!

Please add my name as a potential receiver of your most generous gift! This should be my 25th post, I do not currently reload or have any reloading equipment (but want to do so), I will not sell the kit but pass it on when the time comes, and continue to pay it forward as you are doing.

Hope you and yours have a blessed and wonderful Christmas and holiday season!

Try to package up tonight and get to the post office tomorrow.
