Hello fellow forum members, I am new here as a member but not as a reader. I have had a PM9 for quite some time and love it, I just purchased a P45 and pick it up on Tuesday - can't wait.

I am a Firearms instructor and have been shooting for 25 years, I have spent a lot of time with SIG's, Glocks and 1911's and became somewhat of a trigger snob along the way. I am departing my old ways and looking forward to training with my (hopefully) new CCW gun, the P45. I noticed that while I prefer a single action trigger with a short reset, I shoot my PM9 almost as well as anything else. I love the light weight and slim profile of the Kahr line and can't wait to break in this new gun.

Boy, now I feel really dumbe. It was actually a serious question or as serious as I'm capable of getting. I know ccw but well I'm just dumb. Get the notebook----Editable diet cabbage. Could you use that in a sentence?
GFY, GFY. Hmmm no PC deletion, I think I got a new little letter thingy.

I just love a personal challenge. Lets rephrase that. I enjoy a personal challenge. Wyn might think we're getting a room at the Holiday Inn. Awkward.
I guess at the bottom I need not fear falling, I'm already there.

Mr. Zero,
I was finally able to take my new P45 to the range and break it in. Mine has night sights and I added the Crimson Trace laserguard.

I love this gun. 225 rounds with no problems, much more accurate that I am.

My other 45 pistol is a Beretta PX4SD and I thought it had a very good recoil and barrel lift for a 45 but the Kahr is even better.

My only complaint is the grip. It is pretty agressive for extended shooting. My hands are pretty soft (Computer programmer) so after 225 rounds I sure wish I had been using a glove. But since this will be a home defense gun not a range gun that should not be a problem in the future.

Even with the minimal recoil and lift I am sending mine out today to get it MagnaPorted, it can only make a good thing better.

Have fun with your new toy.

Steve, you or anyone who can, when you get your pistol magnaported, can you try to get pictures of the flash and recoil. I use my Canon camera in the movie mode and then use the included software to play the video back. Then I can pause and back up single-frame until I get the flash and then make a still for the flash and the next frame for recoil.
It dawned on my one day at the range, that instead of just snapping photos of the unpatched target after each magazine or so, I could put it in video mode and capture everything and later get stills -- pretty neat!

love the magna ported 45 whenyou get it all done. Go to wal mart and buy one of their finger less bicycle riding gloves. Makes it really nice for range shooting. It will be easier on your hand but still giv eyou a perfect feel.

Wiithout it, u can get tired easy and then things start to happen that is not the guns fault. Many love the lsip on grips available also for these kahrs. Home defense or not, it is a gun you will enjoy shooting once you get the feel of it.

Let us know how you like the magna porting. I love mine on my PM9, K9 and g19. Just makes for more pleasurable shooting IMO..

u will feel a big difference when shooting the P40 after being magna ported. U might really like that 40 cal alot more to. It will tame it down big time. Not owning the 45 kahrs, I would think they would not be as bad to shoot as the 40 cals are.

I'll try several SD loads and see what it likes best, I am toying with some of the lighter loads for the short barrel. Maybe the Corbon 165 and 185 DPX rounds. Tomorrow is the pick up day and I'm stoked!
