I've had a CW45 for about a year now, been a great pistol. Accurate, light and easy to shoot. The only down side of the pistol is the lack of stuff for it. More and more holster options are rising for it, but the sight options are still a bear!

Since this is my primary weapon, I wanted to ask a question about night sights... I am getting ready to purchase, but before I did, I wanted to see if anyone here knows of other options than the trijicons at kahr.com and the nights at dawson precision??? Not that I have issues with either, but I just want to make best decision before "pulling the trigger" on purchase.

Anyone here have experience with both dawson and trijicons? Which is better?

Thanks all!

Not sure of any other options.....I think those are the only two....

But truthfully?.......from Kahr.......$80 for a set of trijicons, and $40 for factory install? $120 installed is tough to beat......I'm gonna send in my CW9's slide in the New Year....

On a related note, I checked with Dawson Precision, and the front sight height is given as .018 or .019. My front sight is .016, straight from the factory. This height seems to be regulated OK, and shoots to point of aim. Where can I get the proper height front sight?

That would match their rear sight most likely. If you only want a front Kahr would be the ideal replacement. Super simple install! $40 plus shipping.

Good luck trying to ensure availability... I'd make sure they reserve a set for you at an expected arrival date though they might request you pre-pay which would be fair.

I e-mailed Kahr after I had my much delayed set in hand about install and NEVER got a reply. (what could have been simpler slide and sights sent back for install?)

Or maybe all those slides sent back for sights/install got priority over just sights?

Front was easy DIY and rear local GS charged me $15. Though it was a hard install an I feared they might have broken the vials based on the hammering sounds I heard. They didn't. But they did manage to wipe off the trijicon logo and year. :(

For anyone else considering night sights and a new Kahr... check with your dealer about ordering it the way you want it. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Having both the trijicons and CT lasergrip I feel the laser would be my first choice. I can draw and fire from the hip quickly and accurately.

Moving or multiple targets I keep both eyes open and with a lower hold can engage very easily.

If only CT had a real off switch on these grips for just plain target sight work. Currently I stick a piece of tape over the laser. Though it's not a problem at short range if you sight-in the laser at 50yds as suggested when the laser dot is well low of the sights and not visible at 7yds (actual point of impact at close range would be less than one inch high if you choose to use the laser)

Remora and Crossbreed have holsters for the CT laserguard on the CW45.
