I remember last winter, or early Spring, they did a small closing segment on an episode of "Impossible Shots" about Bob, and mentioned that he was having some serious health issues then. He hadn't made a new exibition appearance on the show this season. I've been trying to find update info concerning his health, and/or well being for the last 6-8 months.
The shooting world lost one of the all time greats by losing Bob Munden. I hope his wife will continue his work educating both young and old.
He was one of my most favorite personalities of all time.
Sad, sad, sad.

I will never ever understand how anybody can shoot like he did. I've seen bits and pieces over the years and his performance is way beyond what can be taught or "practiced into being". We've all seen the savants perform but what kind of human can consistently put a bullet through a flat washer tossed onto the air or any of his other demonstrations. They were not tricks, as a magician might do, but real honest shooting - shots done with a 45 revolver that a sniper would call impossible.

Bob was truly the best of the best. He was faster with a single action revolver than anyone with a semi-auto and more accurate than most rifle shooters. An unbelievable talent.

I saw his show about ten years ago or so... Palm Beach County Fair (now the South Florida Fair).
Amazing... just totally amazing. Left you standing there, mouth agape... thinking WTF did I just see? And it was the real deal.

Very sad news. Been watching Bob Munden on YouTube for years, had hoped to go and see him in person somewhere over the years. Alas, not going to happen. Truly an amazing individual with a firearm in his hand and I'm sure he was amazing w/o one as well. Prayers out to his family and thanks for all the years of tricks and videos to enjoy on the internet.

Thanks for all the prayers. He will definitely be missed. Bob had superhuman ability. I don't think there will be another like him.

Truly amazing skills with a pistol. We will probably never see the likes of him again. He even looked fast when they did slow motion of him.

Only 70 years old. But up into his late sixties, he was faster and deadlier than nearly anyone of his generation.
