Warm in upstate NY. I went and put a bunch of lead down range. I zero'ed in the sights on my Sig p229 (22LR with adjustable sights). Ran a few rounds though the Ruger Single Six tac driver and put about 50 though the PM9 :D I wish the 9mm conversion kit would get here for the sig... it's been on order for almost 6 months :(

I like it here. I'm near Binghamton. I like my 4 seasons, Skiing in the winter, drag racing in the late sping/summer/fall. I was just up in VT 2 weeks ago, they had 5' of snow in 1 weeks time then spring hit. Nothing like lot's of bumps, lot's of snow and 40 deg temps :D

It was raining today so I got up and decided to go to the range, being that I have not been there for about a month and a half. I just got to caught up with things to do around the house, getting my Harley ready for the summer, and in my lastest gun project the M1 Garand. So I decided to just bring my Kahr PM9 and the XD9sc and of course my new (old) baby the M1. I left the .380's at home because of the hard time I'm have getting .380 ammo at a reasonable price. Seems like I'm just carrying the .380's now from time to time and not much at the range anymore. Anyhow I could not wait any longer to shoot the M1 so a blew a few clips throught her and she was flawless. There is just something special about shooting a piece of American history.:D Then I decided the PM9 would be the next one up on the table. I have really come to love this little pistol and I shoot it better everytime I visit the range. So I put 25 rounds down range shooting at 10 yds and came away very happy with those results. Then came my XD9Sc. This is the pistol I shoot the best of all of them . I put 25 down range and then back to the PM9 for another 25 and then back to the XD9 for the last 25 of a 100 round box. Then I just couldn't help myself, I just had to shoot another 8 round clip through the M1. I'm a happy man now, I got it out of my system for a while. I just love owning guns that work when there supposed to. The Kahr Pm9 and the XD9 are some really great pistols to shoot together. The natural pointabilty of both those pistols are perfect for me. When I visit the range I practice point shooting also. I figure that's more important than site shooting actually, because in a SHTF situation that's probably all I'm going to have time to do. The only way today could have been better is if I could have went there on the Harley. Aside from it raining, I think the local Popo would frown apon me having and M1 strapped to the handle bars though. Those buggers got no sense of humor I tell ya. :)

I think a vest with like 50 or 60 8rd en bloc clips would add a nice effect. I doubt the boys in blue would find that humorous. Sad it has to be that way.

Target pics...

Single Six. Top 2 dots from bench, 6 rounds each. Bottom 2 dots 12 rounds each free hand. Both from 10 yds.

Sig, surprisingly accurate from a bench. 20 rounds to middle dot from bench, most high and left. Then I tweaked the adjustable sights and put 10 to each lower dot from bench. The rest was a bunch of free hand to top 2 dots and some to the middle.

I really need work on my free hand :(

LOL I do actually have a couple of en bloc bandoliers I could criss cross my shoulders with for added effect. When they pull me over I could say hey whats sup Ponch? Not to worry I have a permit to carry and I'm only expressing my second ammedments rights. Being that Pa. is and open carry state I'll bet I could have a good time and ruffle a few feathers over that.:D Or at least till they put the cuffs on me.

Well I did it yesterday. The truck was in the shop for inspection and I had a couple military funerals to do so I put the M1 in a rifle bag bungied it across the handle bars and rode to the cemetary. I figured if the Popo wants to bust my chops by carrying a plugged M1 Garand to shoot blanks with at a funeral then so be it. I Figured I have a CC permit and a card that proves I'm part of the Honor Guard there,so the Popo would have to be a real ******** to want to give me a hard time. It's not like I was doing anything illegal with it. I did get some funny looks but know one said anything.:) I wasn't planning on do this very often but the back country roads to get to the cemetery from my home are allot more fun to travel when I'm on the Harley. I'm sure one day they'll pull me over for doing it but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Question ? Do we have bail money on hand just in case?:D
