With the Clint Eastwood thread going on and his proclivity for six guns in his movies, I was wondering if there are any six gun fans here?
Here are a few of mine.
These two Vaqueros used to be part of my "Three Amigos", but the third (this bird's head model (http://gbrannon.bizhat.com/b.jpg)) has left the flock
(little too gaudy for my taste anyway:ohmy:..well, that's what I tell myself snif http://pages.prodigy.net/rogerlori1/emoticons/cry.gif):

Boxcars: double sixes (a Speed Six and Security Six), double action Rugers:

Got to have some small snubbies (well, in this case a couple of Smith five holers):

Wow, those are some nice shootin' irons, Greg!!

I learned how to shoot on an S&W 686 and have this new found appreciation for wheel guns. Something about the reliabilty and tradition of the revolver that has found it's appeal with me. I'd eventually like to get a 686 when I find the right one, along with an SP101 for my backpacking gun. This isn't quite a six shooter, but I like it nonetheless. It was my summer gun until I got the Kahr PM9 but it still goes places with me.

Darn, if you didn't get me; I did post two five shooters myself:o
That a 642 Airweight you got there? Nice piece:)

Heck yeah, I'm a six shooter fan from day one. I'll do some pics soon and add them. I got a real fetish for birdshead single actions, I have a Vaquero birdshead and my favorite a Uberti, both 45 Colt. Got a 45 Colt lever to go with em, now all I need is a handicap accessible horse and we'll ride again. Those are some darn nice looking irons you got there Greg.
I've always liked rugers, have about 6 or so, got a SP101 22 for the wife to play with, couple 629's, 686. Sure glad you started this. Ought to be good although I don't see anybody topping your toys.

Here's some that I had pictures of already. Couldn't find any of my Uberti or the Vaquero. I'll take some soon.
I make grips so most of the time I'm taking pictures of the handles, tried to show the ones with at least most of the gun. Long live 6 guns.
The one in the case is an 1851 Navy. Replica of course but genuine Colt. Have another spanish knock off that I've shot, never shot this one.

My first gun was a Ruger Single Six. I still own that one. Second gun was a S&W 686 in 4". I eventually traded it but sometimes I wish I still had it.

The Walther in the pic with the Ruger I don't own anymore.

The Ruger Single Six was my first gun also. I sold it at one time but got it back a bit later. I still have it. They are just great guns. I'd like to pick up a little Bearcat sometime, mostly cause they are cool but they are nice for teaching kids and small handed people to shoot.

No, I don't care for them much so I only own 17 or so.

Other than 1911's, revolvers were my dominant sidearms growing up. Oldest I have in regular service at the moment is either my late '60s Charter Arms Undercover or my nickle plated 2 1/2 inch Model 19 with recessed cylinders.

For daily defense chores it's now semi-autos. Favorite field carry and fun guns however are mostly thumb busters.

Thanks Bawanna, for the kind comments about my "iron" :)

Wow, some nice pistols (really like the Colt snubbies) and great grip work ; you are very talented my man!
I only have two Colt revolvers; a 4" Diamondback in .22LR and a Police Positive Special. The PPS has traveled some; it was a Colombian National Police gun before it came to me, I sold it and it went up north, and it recently found it's way back to me:

Bigcube,
I, like yourself and bawanna45cal, am a fan of the Single Six. That's a very nice stainless on you have there; is it dual cylinder?
My own is an older one in only .22LR. I found it in a local shop with quite a bit of cosmetic wear and abuse (someone took a grinder to the hammer). It was sound mechanically and is a great shooter. I cleaned her up some with cold blue, paint and some parkerizing (cylinder would not take cold blue at all):

I have a couple of Charters, an Undercover and a Target Bulldog. The Undercover is a light packing gun for sure, not bad to shoot either. The Target is a bit of a handful with most .44Spl. loads. I mainly shoot .44Russian in it now; gives a little lighter kick and easier to eject:

Oh this is a very cool thread! But we must deliniate the wheel guns between six shooters and revolvers.

In terms of six shooters.....

Everybody needs at least one! :D

I still have my old single six "3 screw" in 22/22Mag. I have sold my 38/357 and 44 Mag. they were also Ruger 3 screws. I was a dummy for selling those guns! I actually used to shoot plates with the 38. It had a light trigger and I have a great load for it. I have won my fair share of competitions with the 38 (as long as I did not have to reload!) :) I also had a very unique Vaquero. It was a blued gun with simulated ivory grips and gold inlay engraving on the flutes of the cylinder. I traded it for a motorcycle (still have the bike).

In terms of revolvers........

I have a SP101 in 357. Well...., I used to have it. My wife like it so she took it from me! :( She shoots it with 38 plus P's. I also had a Smith mod 29 snubbie with a round butt. THis is a 44Mag. What a great little (well... not so little) revolver. It was much fun to shoot, even with hot loads. The (sort of) little 44 would just "roll" in your hands. Recoil was not an issue. Another gun I shoudl have kept! arrrggghhh! One of my favorites however is a Smith mod 625 in 45acp. Again, a round butt. The gun is extremely accurate and has virtually no recoil. This one I will never get rid of!

You can get alot of pleasure just holding something like that, perhaps wearing cotton gloves. The temptation to **** that hammer can be brutal. Nice looking gun for sure.

My fancy is being struck by the 7 shooters.

S&W makes.....sometimes they make.....the 686 Plus.

Taurus makes what is an improving line of revolvers, one
of which is a 7 shooter.

I find the 686 Plus frequently, been trying to find a 686 6 shooter. Getting more difficult around these parts.

Cool thread! I discovered the love of revolvers in a S&W 686 4", which is beautiful and crazy accurate. I also picked up a Ruger SP101 2 1/4" in 357, a great little snubbie. I can see others in my future but will probably wait until I move to florida in a year or so.

I really try to stay on track sometimes but I just gotta know. Lots of guys from Florida here. What's the draw. Hurricanes and alligators, nice weather, landing zone for refugees. Is it the weather? Semi serious question.

In my case an inherited second home in Tampa. Looks most attractive at this particular moment as we're getting dumped on at 3"/hr in south Denver right now. Overall, a lot of good year round weather, although in my experience Hermosa/Manhattan/Redondo Beach, CA has it all beat wrt that. Only problem there is the political climate.

Dang! A 10-shooter. I have a 9-shooter H&R 929 and there are some big bore revolvers holding 8 (and maybe more) -- 8 shot .357 magnum revolvers like the S&W 327, 627, or the Taurus 608 and others. They aren't small and cuddly like Kahrs, though.
My favorite "6-shooter" is my 5+1 PM45.
Wynn:D

Oh, and about Florida... at least it's on the right coast... and not about to fall into the ocean, though you guys around sea-level are gonna have ... or BE ocean-front property someday! Someone has to feed the darn bugs the year 'round, too.:D

That is why I sold my specially engraved vaquero. I didn't dare shoot it. It seems, I cannot own a gun I cannot shoot. God knows I have tried! My Vaquero is an example, as well as some very special Weatherby Rifles I have owned that were collectibles and had never been shot. It killed me not to be able to shoot them sooooo...... Turned them into "green" to get a shootable toy! :D

You have a very nice whell gun however!

Like the fellas that collect Winchester Model 70's. Bought em new, never even put the bolt in the rifle, don't remove hang tags, basically don't even take it out of the box. What kind of will power does that take? Off the scale more than I got. I have guns I have never shot but have been shot, and I could shoot them tomorrow. I guess I can tolerate that enough.
Still nice to have and kind of a good investment sometimes. Rather have a vault full of guns than a vault full of money. My wife rarely agrees with that but I think shes just being confrontational.

I have a 6inch 686, that my wife uses for home defense. It is a fantastic shooter. The trigger had a little work done to it before I got it........Smooth!!!! I would love to get a 4 inch 686.
