By now you have probably read that those D|ck's are no longer selling semi-auto's, etc. However in this mornings newspaper, along with the grocery store ads, was an ad from Gander Mtn. which had guns on sale, including a Ruger SR-556 M4 http://img1.findthebest.com/sites/default/files/495/media/images/Ruger_SR-556_Rifle.jpg
and they weren't price gouging! If it comes to a choice, we know who is getting my future business.

I don't see how anything can backfire on Barry now, he's bullet proof and the only thing that is going to stop him now from his sole purpose of punishing the wealthy and destroying freedom in America would be if he accidently dropped his real birth certificate out of his wallet for all the world to see....

Nothing can stop this tyrant now in his zeal to rid American citizens of their weapons and rights in general and I for one truly expect a new gun control bill that not only prevents the sale and or possesion of assault style semi auto rifles and shotguns but calls for the mandatory confiscation and destruction of them as well...

As Australia did in the mid 90's they offered a buy back +10% of the value of the weapons to turn them in for destruction or the alternative was prison if you refused to do so...I never believed that could happen in wide open free Austraila but IT DID and don't kid yourself, it can happen here as well!!!

^^THIS. I keep telling my fiance and our friends that this could VERY WELL happen HERE. Don't think that just because our Constitution says we can have guns, then we will never have them taken away. Where there's a will, there's a way. StupidBamma is highly motivated, and now he answers to no one. If he truly wants to rid America of every legal gun, then he will find a way. And because he's seen as a God by most of the nation, and with the recent tragedies at that Oregon mall and the school, then he will have little to no resistance if he tries. America will back him up. Nobody believes me. I tell them to mark my words, and I deeply hope I never have to say "I told you so". And because nobody believes this could happen, my fiance doesn't even want to talk about a Plan B in case some/all guns got banned, so that we'd know what we were going to do before such a possibility ever happened. :mad:

Going to prison for refusing to allow the government to come into my house and forcibly take my AR15 (and any other gun they decide to ban, or all of them) will have life-changing consequences. If/when they eventually let me out, I will have no job and my house may/will be repossessed by the bank (depending on how long I was detained and therefore not paying), my credit score will be zero due to not paying bills, and my record will state that I'm a felon and served prison time. This will prevent me from being able to buy guns again in the future if it is ever again made legal for people to own them. Being a felon will also restrict what kinds of jobs I can get. Bad credit will make it harder to get back on my feet.

Are you willing to take these consequences? What if you have children that depend on you? How badly do you want to keep your gun(s)? I seriously think my fiance would try to stick it to the man and refuse to give up his gun(s). If I take the same route, the above scenario becomes my problem too. But if I give mine up and remain "free", then we loose our one bedroom house and I move back in with my mom because my paycheck is vastly too small to afford to rent an apartment or pay the house payment without a second income. Fiance will have to join me at my mom's if/when they release him from prison because we no longer have a house and he no longer has a job. He has no other job skills than what he currently does for a living, it's the only job he's ever had since they hired him at 16. This will be a problem when trying to get a new job after prison.

I will be SO P1SSED if they ban any/all guns. I actually hope the whole Mayan calendar thing really happens tomorrow and the world does end, because I really don't want to live in the future that is coming down the pipeline (not just the gun issue, but other things as well). I hope I'm being paranoid and making a mountain out of a mole hill. To quote a character from Jurassic Park 1: hold on to your butts.

I remember last year several posters here on Kahrtalk spewing how this is America, never happen here, we have the Constitution, laws, and voting, blah, blah, blah. Those of us who were saying we should be aware because it is coming were called consiracy theorists by a few overly-comfy members. Those members are now talking a big talk of patriotism. Well now it is here. America is not the same country you grew up in anymore. It may be too late to start "questioning". We have pretty much lost our 1A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A and they've wiped their butts with the 10A. The 2A is about to be bastardized.

None of the Amendments are worth the paper they are written on without the 2A. Not a single one. It is the spine of our freedom.

I don't mean to sound mean-spirited, but the lax, trusting stance conservatives have taken has led to this. We allowed this to happen by not being as aggressive as the libtard dems and progressive republicans.
