I've had cataract surgery a year ago and I'm having a problem with my right eye. I'm experiencing blurred central vision and see prominent halos when looking at headlights with or without glasses with my right eye only. I'm also experiencing double monocular vision with my right eye with things at arms length, like my front sight. Toric lenses were implanted to correct for an astigmatism. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

First off, I'm not a doctor eye or otherwise. My wife has undergone cataract surgery and had the toric lenses implanted and laser to correct her vision further. She is experiencing the same conditions as you and has developed a slight film over one eye. The eye doctor has told her that it can be removed with some additional laser work.
Your absolute best bet is to go back to the doctor that performed your surgery. Do it ASAP.

I have an appointment at 8:45 a.m. on Dec 24. I hope that it is something as simple as a film on the implanted lens. For now being I'm forced to shoot with my head canted to the right using my left eye to focus the front sight. That's awkward at best. I was just hoping for a little reassurance from someone with a similar experience or professional knowledge. Thanks for your help guys.

Muggsy,
CALL DOC IMMEDIATELY. Seriously, no $hit. Don't mess around. My Dad had cataract surgery earlier this year and a few months after, experienced a minor optical stroke. Doc said it was directly related to the cataract surgery. He is partially blind in that eye now. Doc said if he'd reported it immediately, there's a small possibility they could treat it.
CALL THE DOC IMMEDIATELY, Do NOT MESS AROUND.

I did call the Doc. He's going to see me on the 24th. If he thought that it was something serious he would have seen me today. We have a great working relationship. I appreciate your concern. I have an uncle who is legally blind from macular degeneration. I take any eye problem very seriously.
