For those who don't want to click on a link:
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Thursday that he had started discussions with leaders of the State Legislature about new gun control measures, and that he planned to propose a package of gun legislation in his State of the State address on Jan. 9.
“There’s a big difference of opinion on these issues,” Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, said in an interview on an Albany radio station.
The New York Assembly, controlled by Democrats, has voted for a number of proposed gun control measures in recent years, only to have the legislation falter in the Senate, which has been controlled by Republicans. (Starting next month, the Senate is to be led by a coalition of Republicans and a breakaway faction of Democrats.)
In the interview, Mr. Cuomo did not offer specifics about the measures he might propose, but, while discussing assault weapons, he said: “Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option — keep your gun but permit it.”
The mere idea that the New York government could confiscate private, legally owned property is bad enough. Cuomo, however seems to think this is actually within his power to do.
Not to condone any violence, but I’d wager gun owners are the last people government should consider “confiscating” property from.
Expect to see this kind of proposal spread throughout other deep blue states in the near future. I don’t think many of this will actually become law (unless liberals have really gone off the deep end), but the fact that it is being proposed and considered show just how tightly Democrats and liberals hold to the idea of never letting a crisis go to waste.

Coumo is nuts. How can these people think that the bad guys will abide by their new laws and restrictions? Taking away guns and imposing restrictions on law abiding, good people just tips the scales in favor of the criminals and lunatics. Just like "gun free zones". It's frustrating......

Nugent should have given more thought before delivering that line.
The only way Morgan could suck on Nugent's machine gun, whilst kissing his ass, is if Nugent had the machine gun up his own ass. And I don't think that's what Nugent had in mind. Epic Fail. :D

I'm glad that I have the ability to stay cool and calm in these situations. I may have to adopt an Alfred E. Neuman avatar. What, me worry?

That should be Washington, consider patriot act and 911. It's low hanging fruit to appear to be doing the right thing after a media-hyped incident. They'll jump on any bandwagon that might get them votes.
If I recall correctly when NJ passed its so-called assault weapons ban it was retroactive, i.e. confiscation. They did not grandfather in.

I guess all the drug laws are really working as planned too!!! Oh wait a minute, bad guys just keep getting richer and have figured that out!! Alot of money moving around in that market, taxfree!! I'm not for drugs, but what the ___!!!!
These leftys need to let cops do their jobs as well. They can't even fart without someone getting all bent out of shape, putting it on tape, and someone saying their rights were abused. Whose rights were abused in CT? Who could defend themselves??
You can bet the black market gun dudes are excited as hell!

I don't think the war on drugs, is anything but a way to keep money flowing into the BATF and DEA coffers. No doubt some are playing both sides and making a fortune. Quit wasting money on this. Why do they have the right to tell me what I can put in my body as long as I am not hurting anyone else. I hate to see these meth heads and junkies running around destroying themselves, but if that's what they want to do, good riddance to bad rubbish.
I don't know if this is true or not, but a high ranking veteran was saying on youtube or somewhere that the Taliban had eliminated most of the the opium poppy fields in Afghanistan, which in turn caused much chaos in the European banking system as the billions of dollars in drug money dried up. Now that we have troops over there, the poppy fields are back in business, The European banks are doing much better with there supply of drug money restored. Just another example of the World's Wealthiest controlling the rest of us. I never much believed in any of this "Illuminati" crap, but after seeing how the US was manipulated into fighting 2 world wars, and countless other minor wars, police actions, and what not, while corporations finance both sides thru subsidiaries, I'm starting to give it more thought. Prescott Bush, Father and Grandfather to the presidents, was a director of the Union Banking Corp, that was seized for laundering money for and funding the ****'s.
Eisenhower warned us about the military industrial complex, and how they would keep us embroiled in endless wars so they could make billions. He said they were the greatest threat to this nation's peace and stability. And indeed, countless wars have bankrupt us, caused us to have our rights taken away, leading to things like the presidential edicts stating the US can seize any property, person, or practically anything else they want, without any justifaction and use them as they see fit, and the order that let's them detain individuals, without any legal counsel, or contact with anyone for as long as they wish.
Things have not been right in this country since the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank 12/23/1913, in the middle of the night, while most congressmen were home for Christmas. Giving control of our money to a group of wealthy individuals, that make fortunes from every little manipulation they make. More legal insider trading. Sure must be nice to know when to put money in, and take money out of the Stock Market, and to be able to cause great panics that allow them to snatch up businesses for pennies on the dollar.

Does everyone remember proabition? How did that work out? The same thing will happen with guns as it did with liquor. The government can take all our guns away but the black market will keep Americas thurst for firearms alive. Our Government will create the new American gangster! By trying to solve one problem they are going to create another.

So, now that the Prez has been re upped for four more, he is willing to crash a major part of of economy and dump thousands out of work, all to pass laws that no bad guys will pay any attention to, while leave the crazies in our midst cause "they have rights too"?
I guess the jobs don't matter here, not now anyhow.
I saw Coumo on Nightline and the clueless twit needs to do something normal so he can return to our earth.
Lets say pump gas into his caddy, in the bad part of New York at 11:30 at night...
you know normal stuff we get to do, without an armed security detail.
