As you can see from the picture, something is certainly wrong. First round chambers and fires fine, next round partially chambers but wont fire. Slide does not go forward all the way, if I make it go forward, it will fire the chambered round. Send to Kahr or Davidsons?

How many rounds did you fire? I had that happen 1 to 3 times during breakin.
Here is a suggestion. Clean and oil it real good. Plenty of oil. Go to a range, maintain a really firm grip. Run a box of shells through it and have fun. after that clean it up and oil it again. I think you'll be OK. sounds like springs getting broken in to me.
If that's the only issue that you are currently having I think 100 rounds of good factory ammo will fix it. Kahr recommends a 200 round breakin. Tolerances are really tight so that is required. If you have any problems after that let us know and we may be able to help you out.

I have about 500 rounds through it already. It is cleaned and lubed per diagram after each trip to the range. I have circled the area in question, there is a chunk of the polymer that is "ripped" and protruding.

sendthat photo to Kahr in care of Jay and seek his advice. They probably will want it back. They should isse a pre piad pickup if they do. It is a new gun. Tell him in detail what is going on to. Not sure as the p[hoto although good is not that good tos ee what could be causing it. MOre than likely that area could be filed away to but again if that would be the case I wouldlet kahr do that..
Going throgh davidson will just slow the process down, I doubt if they willgive u a new gun either. so they will send it back and ur gonna waste alot of time that way..

Thank you, is there a direct email to Jay? I did send an email to service@kahr.com with the same thing I posted in my OP.

that will get to him. Probably not gonnahear nuttin until afterChristmas, for I am assuming probalby Monday Kahr is closed. that area looks like a possable reinforing area and I am wondering is before u got it, if someoon had foreced that slide stop lever/pin in wrong and buggered up that area. As the slide stop lever/pin goes right by that area. I personally feel it is a cosmetic thing that kahr will remove and make it look right.
but do it right, let kahr direct u. especialy being if it is not funtioning right. that buggered area might also not even be the cause of the mal functioning...
