Hi all.
I've owned a PM9 for about 18 months. I always felt the trigger was a little longer on this particular example than it was supposed to be, but I am aware that its long by design and just figured I'd live with it. I haven't fired the Kahr in about 6 months, so I got it out today for some dry fire practice. That's when I discovered that the trigger was no longer releasing the striker. This also prevented takedown of the pistol. After fiddling with it for about 30 minutes I finally got the gun to dry fire and was then able to take it down. Once disassembled I could see no obvious problems, but I note that the trigger can move about 1/8" before the little 'rocker' piece at the back of the gun even starts to move.
Anyway, I reassembled and the gun is now dry firing but I have to pull the trigger ALL the way back to release the striker - ie. about 3/4" of trigger travel (measured at bottom of trigger)
So... Is this normal? I'm now second guessing myself and wondering if I just wasn't pulling the trigger all the way back before. I swear I remember that when I first got the gun I didn't need to pull the trigger ALL the way though.
Thanks for your input!
