I can find PM9s and PM40s pretty easy but MK9s and MK40s are quite a bit harder to find. Anybody know? Do they just sell alot more PMs than MKs?

Do a good search on line. You can find MKs in a lot of different venues. Your local lgs should be able to order them as well. I just had my local dealer order me an MK9 elite. He said it would arrive in 5-7 days. Expensive but beautiful and hopefully the last gun I wish to purchase. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the members.

My mk9 serial# is just over 5000 & my mk40 is just under 4000 could it be that they don't make a lot of them.

As hollender said they are out there - you just have to look harder for them than the PM models. I found my beautiful NIB MK40N in a store in MA that specializes in ex-police pistols and shooting supplies last January. I got it for about 3/5's retail because it was built in 2008 on my birthday, 2/29/08, it turned out.

That is an excellent target O"Dell. Very good shooting for 25 rounds. :D I wish I was that good with my MK9!

I think the lighter polymer PM guns may well sell better.
Also the MK guns, particularly the Elite models, are some of the most expensive Kahr pistols.

the MK series cost more and dont last on the shelf as long as a PM series.

the cheaper CW series sell rather quickly though.

So CWs sell better than PMs and PMs sell better than MKs?

Correct. At least for those sizes and calibers that have those as choices. CM/CW.

Yea CM is the one comparable to a PM or MK right? CW is bigger

Pm, yes, but certainly not an MK.

Why not MK?

I think O'Dell meant they are not comparable in that the MK is all steel and the PM is polymer, but if you were referring to size, then yes, the PM and MK are comparable sizewise.

The size is about the same but the weight is different. The PM9 weighs 14 ozs while the MK9 is over 22. That's a huge difference to me. I shoot my MK40 twice as well as my PM9, plus I can pocket carry the PM but not the MK.
