Key elements of the 'impartial' media are now actively trying to intimidate lawful firearm owners based upon permit/registration data.

A Gannett publication just posted exact maps of all pistol permit holder in multiple NY State counties.

I would think that with that amount of red on that map the criminals would be the ones intimidated. It's the people who don't own guns and whose addresses weren't listed who should feel intimidated. They have just been listed as easy marks. A double edged sword cuts both ways.

What a surprise. The reporter on the story "owns a Smith & Wesson 686 .357 Magnum and has had a residence permit in New York City for that weapon since February 2011."

Well that news paper was just in the news, apparently they've hired ARMED guards for their building.

Additionally, their editor attempted to have charges pressed against multiple people who wrote letters to the editor and weren't too appreciative of the outing. The local sheriffs department dismissed the charges, and just about laughed at the editor, as there was nothing threatening about being outraged.

They've also double downed on their position, which may become a blessing in disguise. Several legislators are now openly talking about making it illegal to publicize the permit lists. A great idea, but might be a bit difficult to work out.

P.S.-- My brother lives in Putnam county, NY and isn't very happy with this fish-wrap, piece-of-c**p newspaper and its anti-gun antics!
