Hi all. Finally got my new CW9 out and got 100 rounds through it. Accuracy was EXCELLENT! I was easily knocking the centers out of some standard clay pigeons @ 10 yards.:D Using factory new FEDERAL ammo, I did have 1 FTE @ round #9, but that was it. No FTF's at all. So, two questions for you experienced CW9 owners......

I occasionally had trouble chambering the first round of a magazine. Seemed to get "stuck", and the slide would not go into battery. Didn't happen every time, but did happen with each of my three Kahr 7-round mags. Is this common when in the "break-in" period?

What "tool" do you use to load your mags? My fingers got awefully sore after loading several mags.

Thanks!!

Welcome aboard and congrats on the CW9!
The Uplula mag loader is a must have item... http://www.maglula.com/PistolMagLoaders/UpLULA9mmto45ACPmags.aspx

Here it is on Amazon, and it still has 5 stars after more than 1000 reviews (that is a good product)... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001HBHNHE/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1356534746&sr=8-1&pi=SL75

As for the slide not going into battery... My guess is that you were using the sling-shot method? If you "ride" the slide at all, you will slow it down. If you were using the slide release and having that problem, then something else is wrong. There are many helpful members here, and I know they will chime in soon.

It is a great gun to shoot isn't it? I love mine as well! I agree with LorenzB, I had one fail to load using the sling shot method. I'm going to stick with the slide release to load rounds for now on. Not a defect in my eyes, just more reliable. I'm having a great time putting my CW9 through it's paces! Enjoy!

Use the slingshot method after you shoot about 500 or so rounds through it!

FWIW - Even though mine will sling shot, I still use the slide release when loading the first round after cleaning for loading the first round for carry.

the manual states that you should use the slide release during break in. mine was picky for the first 300 rounds. now i only sling shot it.

Thanks guys! I just went and put another 50 rounds through her, and used only the slide release to chamber thefirst round in each mag. No more issues! I am really liking this gun!:D
