What is the cure for slidelock interference.
My FMJ reloads clear the slide lock, but factory GD 124+P's seem to come real close and sometimes rub.
Would some sandpaper, file or stone work by taking the bottom edge off ever so slightly?
I'm thinking taking off .005" to .010" off the bottom edge by eyeball

I found an answer here after searching a bit. There is enough material to take a bit off to clear the Gold Dot and still engage the magazine for slide lock, this appears to be a common issue.
I just want the first range trip to go as good as possible so I can trust this gun in my mind.
It's a long 33 yards to the range backstop from the home.:D

IMHO, shoot the gun first and see if you have a problem before you go filing parts down.

Same problem for me. I used a file and just took a pinch off by eye ball. Works fine, slide locks back. No issues.

someone stated: SHOOT THE GUN FIRST. Then address the issue if there is an issue. close is OK. not a hell of alopt of slopy area in a kahr 9mm. If the runds are hitting u will get pre-mature slide locking back and possably failure to feed. Address that only if it is doing it.
Yes u can eye ball and file back a tad of that slide stop nub, but that wouyld be my last resort. Don't fix what is not broken ...
sandpaper won't do it but a stone or fine file will do what u need to do, IF NEEDED...

I put some black magic marker on the Gold Dot bullet and there was interference. I used a fishing hook sharpening stone since it fit well. I kept taking a thou off until it cleared.
The first owner admitted he sold it because of the slide lock issue. I found that out both after the sale and after the mod.
I bought it off the second owner who only shot a couple mags thru it who didn't disclose the slide locking back issue.
Now he's pissed because it works and he'd rather have the CW9 that's working good vs. the LC9 that works good but recoils sharply.
I got lucky and it worked
BTW- I had extensive experience working to tight tolerance on small parts during my Model and Mold Making,Fixture Building career

Just go slow with removal of the material. The worst case scenario is that the gun will not lock back after final round and you will have to order a new slide lock pin. Not a lot of risk and a good way to get a cheap Kahr.
