D!ck's has decided not to sell AR-15 rifles or to fill order's made for AR-15 rifles purchased before the Connecticut school shooting. I sent a letter to D!cks's Sporting Goods stating that in addition to being a shooter that I'm also a hunter, fisherman, and golfer, but no longer a D!ck's customer.

I'm an Academy guy anyway...so I could care less. I don't believe there big in handgun or ar sales anyway. So they're probably thinking no big loss.

I've never liked D i c k's. The one time I bought something there (not firearms related) was a disappointment for reasons too complicated to explain here.

The election is over, but we all can still vote with our dollars.

only time I was in Dicks, I ended up being escorted out. I went in the one in Indy for the firs time and went into thegun section and they had no handguns. When I asked why no handguns, I got some sh!t faced answer and it did not set well with me, and ol jocko sounded off in a not so flattering way. 10 minutes later I was out the door and ask not to come back. Which is and was fine with me.

Fokkum and the horse they road in on. Dicks sporting goods IMO is a D!ck, no more , no less..

Dicks took over the store fronts of another sporting goods retailer in the DFW metro area many years gone by. I shopped the old seller for handguns and long guns of several types. Right after Dicks took over and ditched the handguns, I was in the store to buy my wife running shoes. We stopped by the Gun counter and I asked what the best deal was.
Turns out it was the synthetic stocked A390 Beretta shotgun, out the door, for less than $400 bucks. The wife turned to the guy and said "he'll take it" and turned to me and said "Happy Birthday dummy, now close your fly trap before one moves in..."
Never have come close to buying at Dicks since, as they are overpriced and underknowlaged on everything guns.
If I want to pay that much (just to have it now), I'll go to Cabelas, at least those guys are fun!
