Does anyone have or able to take a couple of photos showing the size difference between these two guns from a couple different angles please?

If all you have are the PM versions that is fine too since they are identical in size.

Thank you.

I believe the size difference is extremely negligible. Kahr.com will have specs on both on the website.

te 40 cal slide is a hair wider but other wise u realy can't tell any difference, until the bang thing happens and then the 40 cal separates itself from the "boys" real fast. I love to shoot my PM9 and the rounds kinda show it. Iam very sure I would not enjoy shooiting a PM40 near as much as I do my PM9, evenif it was ported like my PM9 is. the 40 in a kahr is just a hand cannon. some here cuddle up to them nicely but ur goona read more negatve reports o this forum on the 40 kahrs than any 9 , that is for sure. Just sayin

+1.
Size/weight difference negligible.
Recoil difference significant.

Side by side you can't tell the difference unless you have a spec sheet in front of you. They both fit the same holster.

Hey, Jocko, did I read your post right? You have never shot a PM 40?

Pictures won't display recoil differences.

The other day after firing 194 rds out of a CW45 with by then a very raw hand. I had the opportunity to fire a CM9... Hey she fired the remaining mag.

I was amazed how light the recoil was with only two fingers on the grip.

Bottomline a CW9 WILL be my next purchase. It isn't a powerhouse nor is it a .380. But it's compact and more importantly controllable.

Yes you can say I haven't fired a CM40 but I have fired 10mm lites from a full size 42oz gun and I don't think the CM40 will be anywhere near friendly on recoil or followup shots.

I have both mk9 & mk40. After handling mk9 the 40 feels a little heavier & larger. Side by side the 40's slide is a little longer, wider & taller. Frames side by side look to be identical. I have to loosen the adjustment screw on my holster for the mk40.

Thanks for the responses guys, but I'm aware of the recoil differences. I've owned and carried both 9mm and .40 cal versions of other pistols.

Mainly I was just trying to nail down real world size differences. I thought I wanted a Shield .40, but after seeing some side by side photos it is obvious the Kahr CM40 is much smaller and thus easier to conceal which is my biggest priority.

If I keep dragging my feet long enough I might buy the new CM45 in March, but those dimensions look significantly bigger than the CM40.

Decisions decisions.

nevver shotone, never even held one. I am not a 40 cal fan, never was since the git go, JUST BECAUSE. No real reason. I do know from reading on this forum the kahr 400's in the pM or cm40 are a pocket rocket and a handful. Ilove to shoot my PM( andit doesnt punish me, ammo is lowerin price to but it is afun gun to shoot. If I owned one, that sucker wold be mag na ported for sure, but even at that I have been told thatu can't tame a wild lion ALOT..
