Does anybody have recommendations for a CC gun / holster combo while running? I currently have a CW9 (probably too heavy). Right now I'm thinking of getting a new pocket pistol for this purpose, I've also been looking at the NAA's. I know they don't pack much punch, but they are so easy to carry.

An air weight J-Frame or Polymer Kahr.
I don't use fanny packs.
But seems like with a light gun they would work well.

.38 LCR with maybe a belly ban or fanny pack. 15oz loaded.

I use a belly band several times week.

Would have to agree with the belly band I think for vigorous activity like jogging.
I have a Kel-Tec .32 cal. for deep concealment. May not pack the biggest punch, but I can do triple taps with 2 to the "X" ring and 1 to the forehead at 7yds. in under 2 seconds, consistently. Have never had any reliability issues with that gun. It packs a little more punch than people give it credit for and it's feather light.

Walk, don't run. Particularly if you are running on pavement. Worst thing you can do for your knees. Coming from a guy who has had both knees replaced. It ain't fun.

With the right carry solution, the CW9 is plenty light. What you want is something that will keep the gun still - not shifting around. Then, the gun becomes part of your body and its mass seems to disappear.
I don't run, but the PJ IWB holster (http://pjholster.com/?page_id=37) does this disappearing act for my CM9. This requires a good thick belt, but if you're running you need something to hold your pants up, don't you? How do you normally dress for your runs? The belly band will work independent of a belt.
For tiny & light I usually carry my MPA Protector (only a .380 though) in a simple home made pocket holster. Same size as a Seecamp.

I have a PJ IWB, which I purchased after help from you guys on here, it is fantastic for daily use. I don't think it will work too well with gym shorts. I'm in rural WV and have plenty of trails, my man concern is the occasional stray dog out in the woods, or one of my neighbors pitbulls that breaks through the electric fence. But, I would like to to be able to protect against humans if needed.

Another recommendation is the Smart Carry (http://www.smartcarry.com/). I have one. It has its own adjustable belt, so it will go under gym shorts just fine. And if you have to dress up for work but want to be able to carry in total concealment, the SmartCarry will do that, too.

If you tend to carry any water when you're out, you might consider something like an Osprey Raptor. They're designed for trail running and mountain biking. I carry in one while out on the trails. Granted, you won't have the quickest retrieval.

I'd suggest the Remora clipless for running... that material is extremely sticky especially against skin. It should easily work with a CW9. You might have to increase tension on a previously very comfortable elastic waistband a bit or maybe just simply wearing a supporter/aka jock would do.
And sweat won't hurt it a bit... though the sweatshield option might help keep sweat off the gun. After a run the holster can be cleaned up easily in the sink with a few drops of dishwashing detergent.
