My brother's brother-in-law has a used SIG P226 in good condition for sale for $500. Should I jump on it, or not? I've never owned or shot a Sig. I understand that it's one of the guns that the Navy SEALS are issued.

I have a sig 226 that is almost 27 years old and I have NEVER had a malfunction. I feed that gun anything and everything and I never have a problem. My husband teasingly says I could probably shoot 45's through it.
In my opinion you can't go wrong.

That's a very fair price on a very solid gun.
Sigs are top draw weapons. I would jump on it like a chicken on a June bug.

CDNN has the p226 new (old stock) for $599 with night sites. They are 40cal DAK trigger. I got mine a couple of weeks ago but haven't shot it yet. I'm waiting on some wolff springs to reduce the trigger pull a bit. If you do a quick google search you will find all the LE agencies that issue these guns. Mine was actually originally built for the Mass. state police.

The W. German 226 is one of the best pistols ever made. I sold mine about five years back for $500 and regretted it ever since. I called the buyer last summer and asked if he wanted to sell it back to me and I now re-own it for the same $500. It will be the last gun I have to turn in to Diane Feinstein. Luckily, I bought a couple extra "assault" MecGar mags and some Hogue G10 grips this summer.

I have a gal wo is a good friend of mine who has a new sig 226 in the box with spare mags and what ever papers comes with it. It has never been fired.
I have seen it, it is incredible, but for me to damn big and I don't like 40 cals.

I have never had a problem with a SIG and I've owned a bunch in the last 30+ years. [only two at the moment] Not only do the SEALs use the P226 and the HK USP, the standard issue for Naval Aviators is the P228, which is a more compact model of the P226. The P226 is designated the M11 in the military.
Nah. That's way too much, don't even think of it.
Could you possibly pm me his phone number.
