Has this bill been released yet?

Is it full of crazy talk, or does it have a chance of passing?

As long as the good guys aka conservatives maintain control of the House or at least one house of Congress then no I do not beleive any billof its type will pass.

Also the ex post facto portion of the bill certainly would not pass court challenge.

The way it was explained to me, a lot of this fear buying crap would go one of two ways today, as everyone waited for this bill:

1. It would be full of crazy talk and would never pass, so people would relax a bit and the market might see some sanity return in a few weeks, or

2. It might be somewhat "reasonable" (this is subjective so please don't attack it) and have a chance of actually passing, and so the fear would escalate.

Most folks don't do their homework or rely solely on the media for information. I predict it will only increase the hysteria regardless of it's chances.

If folks studied up a little bit we'd not be in the place we are right now. I start to say anyone with a positive IQ would not contribute to where we are now but that would not be a reasonable statement. Perhaps a positive amount of common sense would be more appropriate.

I truly don't see things coming back close to normal for at least a year and more likely much longer. The feeding frenzy will subside because theres nothing to buy but it will stay with us.

Prices across the board will probably never return to prices of a month ago.

Sort of like the gas shortage of the 70's. Cause a good scare, get the price up to 2 or 3 bucks a gallon but plentiful and everyone is happy. But you'll never see 50 cent a gallon gas (where it should be) ever again.

She put everything imaginable in that bill so that when Congress sits down to negotiate, there can be LOTS of concessions and the Libs can still get all of the stuff they really want passed... and the "moderate" will think and say that they are "protecting" our "rights" to keep SOME weapons!

Yep. That bill is just laying down cover-fire. They play us for fools! Exactly as Wyntrout said. They will ultimately meet in the middle somewhere and both sides will act like they did their job.

The most sinister part of this bill is the part that will make transfers illegal. The goal is obviously to create a full blown gun ban w/in a few generations. If they just get a little of everything else they have in there, but make it 'illegal' to pass a firearm on, or sell/transfer one to a non-family member, then w/in 40-50 years we will look like the UK w/ no need for an all-out ban or confiscation.

They will make this case and argument by saying it's to stop the loopholes at gun shows, to stop private sales, and the general population will go along w/ it hook, line, and sinker.

Not that the rest of it isn't dangerous, that's just the MOST evil part of what she's put out there.

If any of it goes ANYWHERE, it will create a scenario that will not be 'un-done' like the 94 ban. It'll be permanent, just like ObamaCare.

Time to stand up and get involved. Time to join the NRA if you haven't already. Time to join GOA if you haven't already. Time to join any state level organization that you might have. Time to send extra $ to any 2a lobby group you can think of.

Time to stop making stupid arguments, like tradition, hunting, target shooting. Time for the gloves to come off. You better be using historical examples of disarmed populations. You better be doubling down on 2a to stop tyranny. Doubling down on the correct arguments on the militia side of the fence.

Chip, chip, chip, chip, chip. A trip of a thousand miles begins with the first step. We don't want to ban you from owning a gun. We only want to prevent criminals from getting them. We have your best interests at heart. I'm from the government and I'm here to help you.

They're pushing two bills - guns and immigration. I think it's safe to say nobody cares about immigration any more, so can we just give them that in exchange for completely withdrawing the gun bill? We don't even know what the immigration bill is, or why we need one. If it's to allow more Socialists to become voters, they already have enough...

This Healthcare bill is not a new tax!!!...(Fingers crossed behind back)...Heard it before, didn't believe them then and don't believe them now...When they get whatever firearms banned they want to then the new Obama care guns and ammo taxes will start and Feinstein is asking for 50% on new firearms, parts/accessories and ammo....

Shooter ready...Stand by...Bend over, get reamed!!!!!!

if this goes down, this is a pretty likely option to consider. They already know that the scotus will back it. Its legit to tax to illicit behavior. Done. Only possible way is if a lawyer can successfully argue that a tax will infringe and violate the 2a, but we all know how that will go. The existing laws already infringe and that didn't stop them.
