Just picked one of these 9mms made in Turkey that resembles a CZ 75 Compact. It is an alloy frame, however. Magazines hold 13 rounds (some 15) and it is DA /SA. Price is a great value. I read on the Academy Sports website that they are on sale at certain stores for only $299.00. Unfortunately, there are no Academy Sports around here, but they are still very reasonably priced here at $360.00.
I now have 260 rounds through it with only 2 failures to feed, one in the first 8-9 rounds. It works great and I think the FTF were just break-in. The double action pull is a little heavy, and the single action is very nice. I am loving this pistol. These pistols are getting great reviews all over the web. It seems to be very well built. Accuracy is very good.
Anyone else have one of these or another model Canik?

Reviving this old thread because I saw a reference to the C-100 in a very recent post. By the way, my C-100 has a few more rounds through it and it has run perfectly since the first 8-9 rounds referenced above. No visible wear. Thing is very well made.

Get you the 13.5 pound hammer spring from Cajun Gun Works. You wont believe the difference. You shouldn't need the reduced power firing pin spring from what I've found. Got 400 flawless rounds through mine now. I've been thinking about the P-120 or S-120 but am trying to resist. Sold a G-19 two weekends ago but have managed to hang onto the cash for the moment.
Here's mine.

Guess i should thank both of you for my current "affliction".
Got a C-100 about a week ago and it IS really nice! Bought 2 spare CZ75 compact Mecgar mags and a 15lb hammer spring from Midway already. The mags work perfectly in the C-100. Haven't changed the spring yet, but probably will.
Also bought those Cool Hand grips, but in black/grey. The pic on Amazon shows them to be a bit more muted, which appeals to me. Also bought some Truglo TFX sights, and Cool Hand grip screws.
What are you guys doing for a holster? I ordered a Blackhawk Serpa for mine, but it's probably gonna need to be cut shorter - it's for a full size CZ 75.
I'll post pics when I get everything together.....

You mean black and grey like this? Just stirring the pot a bit. I picked up a Don Hume OWB pancake style holster for an XD9 because it would fit my P-09 (and now P-07) and it does OK for the C-100 and T-120 too but it's not perfect. I'm going to attempt my own version of a suede leather appendix IWB for the C-100 and P-07 one day soon. I'd do Kydex but the leather will be nicer.

yqtszhj, sweet looking C-100.
I do also have a L120 (full size version of the C-100).
Ed M, no holster for mine for carry. I carry Glock.
Caniks are, in my opinion, a great value pistol.

Oh yeah - that's what I'm talkin' about. Those look perfect. The rest of the "stuff" I ordered will arrive tomorrow. If all goes as planned, I should be shooting the completed project at the range on Saturday. I can't believe I paid $20 for 2 stinkin' grip screws, but they do look cool!
Well, as I see it, this whole setup cost a lot less than the PCR I wanted - like I won't wind up with one of those too. :2rolleyes:
Decided to man-up and install the sights myself. Huge improvement over the stock sights.
I'm happy with how it came out....

Now I need grip screws. Those sights are nice too.
The grip screws were $20 on Amazon. They look to be a smaller diameter than 1911 grip screws. I found some on fleabay that were $15, but not the pattern I wanted.
Oh well.....
The sights were like $108 - they're for a C-75. The rear sight was fairly easy to swap out. A bit of sanding on the bottom of the dovetail, and my sight pusher made short work of it.
The front sight was a LOT tougher. When you drive out the original one, it skims off about 1/8" by 1/16" of cerakote off the barrel bushing. No escaping this. I was advised by Brian at Easton Firearm Refinishing to just cold blue the tiny spot. I also covered it with Dupli-Color auto touch up paint, and you really have to know it's there to spot it. Brian is on the CZ Clone Club forum, and he's experienced with these Tristars. Nice guy, and super helpful.
Lots of sanding was necessary on the bottom of the new front sight before it fit 1/3 of the way in. Covered the front of the sight with a piece of electrical tape and drove it in with a brass punch and a hammer. A BIG hammer. :2eek:
It was a real PITA, but I can see those TFX sights well. The stock sights had really tiny white dots that I had a tough time seeing at my local indoor range.

Nice work on that Ed and thanks for sharing the details of it:)

That's a damn fine looking pistol Ed M! ;)
Took my C-100 to the range to test out the new sights.
Perfecta 115gr FMJ at 20 yards on an 8" target. Other than a few double action fliers, I'll take it. The Truglo TFX sights were awesome!
