The original Jim Crow Laws were when States, Counties, Cities and other local governments conspired to deny the free excercise of rights enjoyed by certain lawful segments of society. It took Federal action to legislatively force the honoring and respect of the rights. It took a strong Federal Court system to enforce it.
We now exist in the Era of Jim Crow Laws II. Once again, States, Counties, Cities and other local governments conspire to deny the free excercise of rights enjoyed by certain lawful segments of society. In this case, it is primarily directed at the Second Amendment. They are also attacking the 4th, 10th and others.
Make no mistake. The intents of the authors of the Jim Crow II Laws are just as malicious and repugnant as of the original ones. Any tax, fee, license, etc to own or carry a Firearm is as odorous as a Poll Tax. It also represents an afront to ALL lawful citizens. Not simply the ones directly affected.
We need to be loud and clear that we need a Second Amendment Civil Rights bill passed.
