Sweet. Makes good sense. I'm still content with my full size.

Still crazy but content.

Being smaller, the Commander size will be made of unobtainium.

Ya know... Trijicon makes 1911 sights... the HD NS for the Novak equipped sights.... Hmm.... this could help push that up higher on my list... my limited list of guns I want and can "afford"! It's still not a gun I want to "carry", though!

I'm still thinking P45, but I REALLY LOVE the Trijicon HD Night Sights!!

I've even been considering the XDS because I can get the HD NS... maybe in Orange this time!

Not liking the 1911 is damn near un-American. It's akin to not liking Harley Davidson. Are you sure your not from Canada Jocko? Just sayin.

Wowza. I don't like either the 1911, OR Harley Davidson motorcycles. Did I mention that I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, and a Honda Magna motorcycle?

With you on this one. I have eight 1911's in various weights/brands/trim/sizes and need another hard to get one like a another bullet hole to the crotch.

Bawanna has seen the Hyundai.

Oh, and the blue bike in the background behind the Honda? That's a Kymco scooter (made in Taiwan). It's for sale. And the thing you can just see the handlebar and a bit of plastic of, in the lower right? That's a Kawasaki ATV (made in Japan). That one's not mine, it belongs to a friend. But I gave it to him.

I guess I'm just hopelessly un-American.

Ok, I swear I saw the Hyundai, and due to lack of enthusiasm I want one of these Commander Rugers really really bad.

I can't ride a Harley no mo so I might as well double up on Rugers.

I thought I was doing a pretty good job by continuing to pay ahead on my mortgage, paying down old credit cards that I've cut up, and continuing to buy new toys (especially guns) with cash instead of accruing more debt during the economic recession, doing my part to keep the economy flowing.

But then I realized those things are un-American too.

I drive a hyundai too, an elantra. Got it on the last day of the cash for clunkers, traded in an old pickup with no transmission, and got $4500 for it. I wanted an American car, but the dealers were all sold out of the smaller cars, and the hyundai had a $2k rebate that made it very affordable. So far it's been a very good car, I was a bit surprised how well it's put together, and it's a hoot to drive on the twisty's. It's was my first small car in many years, handles almost as well as my Fiat 124 sport coupe did. I figure the Koreans that built it, never made Japanese tanks or aircraft, unlike Nissan or Toyota, except as slave labour. So I went Korean, and pretty happy with it. Has a nice center console just the right size to hold a pistol. Wish it locked, but the car has an alarm on it. I should get one of those under seat safes so I can leave something in there for those times I forget to arm myself when I'm in a hurry.

yes, part of the healing phase is to admit you have a problem. Good man. Now lets build from here. Do you have any cowboy boots or hats? If so do you wear them?

You must be my doppleganger! :D I owned a Fiat 124 SC and am now the happy owner of a 2006 Hyundai Elantra Limited with leather upholstery and wood grain dash trim. I live in the mountains of WNC and love the way it handles on the twisties. Smooth riding, dependable and I like the positioning of pedals and controls from the driver's seat.

Well, lemme see now. I got two hats, but they're not cowboy hats. They are "Outdoor Research" gore-tex soft fabric hats that fold up when not in use. They're called "Seattle Sombreros" by the locals.

I have some boots, but they ain't cowboy boots neither. One set has silver buckles on the sides. The other set has pointy toes, but still not cowboy style, and they're only 3/4 boots, with zippers on the sides.

So, uh, nope!
