I just purchased a CW45 new from our local gun retailer. I ran several boxes of target ammo right away and it preformed great. I loaded a magazine of Hornaday critical defense ammo next. Now i am unable to pull the slide back to unload. I have dropped the magazine but that does not help. I did not see anything in the owners pamphlet or on Kahr web site. Does anyone have a suggestion for me.

round stuck in the chamber

#1 - finger off the trigger
#2 - make sure the recoil spring is not sticking out the guide rod hole up front...
#3 - usually a smart rap of the bottom (hood area) of the slide against the edge of a sturdy wooden workbench will dislodge a round stuck in the chamber
#4 - worst case, magazine out, go to range, fire the round in the chamber

The CW series has an inadequate leade in the rifling, and ammo selection is problematical. You have a round stuck in the rifling, and you can either proceed as above, or if the slide is in battery you can just remove the magazine and shoot it.

Inadequate leade? Does that mean that the beggining of the rifling is too close to the end of the chamber?

Yes, no taper to the rifling at the chamber end of the barrel.

This can happen, depending on seating depth, with just about any 45 auto

Yes, you can improve the leade by throating, but it should have been done at the factory.

we are not sure that is the total issue either,I would try anutter brand of ammo also to test it out, or Maybe anutter box of the same brand but a new box of ammo
