I watched both. The first one said he wont take away your rifle, handgun, shotgun, but he did not say hi cap mags or "assault rifle". The second vid he clearly said he want hi cap mags and "assault" rifles. So he was consistent.

In this instance yes. But he did soften to say if the people dont want it, it wont happen. So he will propose a "change" and then it is up to the house ect to see it through. Muggsy or someone said here that these guys like to get re elected more than they hate guns so we have hope.

Or pretty much anyone else in Washington, Republican or Democrat. Collectively they are running our country into the ground. And the closer things get to going bad, the more they will want to restrict the 2nd amendment.

Way too many people think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. And he has the black vote locked down, even though he's supports things that many of them find offensive. Funny how his eligibilty lawsuits go along for awhile, then the judge has a "change of heart" and dismisses it. Kind of smells like some kind of blackmail to me, much the way organized crime used to take care of things. Which is essentially what we have in the Whitehouse and surrounding agencies, organized criminals.

A rifle is a rifle is a rifle. A rifle is a long gun with a rifled barrel We own semi-automatic paramilitary rifles not assault rifles. It would take me approximately one second longer to empty three ten round magazines than it would to empty a thirty round magazine. Obama is as consistent on protecting our second amendment rights as he was about opposing gay marriage.

Oh I agree. I put the word "assault" in quotes for a reason. They seem to make a distinction between rifles. Our black rifles in the news and in politics are never just called rifles. They use "military style",or "assault", ect to describe the AR/AK rifle. They are doing this, I believe, for a reason. I wouldnt want them to get comfortable calling them "paramilitary" either. They want to cull them from the firearm family. Calling them something different helps to demonize them and put them in another catagory even though we know that is not acurate.
