I picked up an MK9 Elite 03 a few months ago. While I love the gun, I just don't think I will ever carry it or shoot it. I can hold on and give it to my son or grandkid one day, but I'm not at that point yet. I like practical shooters.

What would you say is a good cash or trade value? I have 2 mags and it does NOT have night sights. I bought it from a guy who said he had not shot it much at all and it looks that way. I have put 100 rounds through it without issue. It really is smooth.

I could go by the gun boards, but they are not very easy to find.

Thanks!

You should be able to get almost all of your money back unless you paid too much. I recently paid $599 for mine with night sights which are a $100 value and the gun was used but nearly unfired. I would think yours would be worth between $450 and $525. My opinion only as I am not a dealer.

Define practical shooters. Got a limp wristing issue or what?

I have 2 CM9s and carry a custom one each day. The MK9 is so nice that I feel like I don't want to scratch it. It shoots much more smooth than my CM9s, but I like shooting the CM9. In fact, recoil is NOT an issue at all. I am trying to keep guns these days that will either be an alternative to the CM9 with regard to round or capacity or other guns that I can use to defend my home, family and self.

IMHO, the MK9 is too much like the CM9s, heavier, and too pretty for my needs right now. I'm sure many would disagree, but my mileage varies. I just don't want to beat up such a nice looking gun.

My wife acquired itsthelaw's MK9 mentioned above and she's really thrilled with it. She has a Remora and a 4" belly band that work well with it. We're new to Kahr (a K9 and the MK) and were relieved to discover that the slide release was so damn tight by design, on empty mags only. Cool feature! Anyway, itsthelaw was a great guy to deal with and we are now dedicated Kahr enthusiasts (even though we haven't fired one yet!) and are planning for a P380 and others. We also have a Caracal C-QS I love, and a Ruger SR22, great for affordable training and plinking. Great forum, look forward to participating.

Welcome! It was great meeting you both. Please post an intro in the newbie section. There are some amazingly great people on this forum. They will help as needed when needed.

Let me know when you want to use my P380! You guys can take it for a few days and fall in love with it. Enjoy!

BTW... I told my wife how excited yours was to move up to the 9mm. The excitement in her smile was awesome.
