Dawson Precision is offering a stake on tritium front sight for Kahr CW and CM series pistols. The sight can be used with the factory rear or with the DP tritium rear sight. Does anyone have any experience installing and using these sights.

Well, that says a lot. I've got to stop talking to myself. People may stop wondering.

All right! Just to keep you from talking to yourself.
I didn't respond as the sight is a stake on type. I have the screw on type that Kahr had on their web site.
But I will say that Dawson makes good sights and if you like the stake on type..............go for it!

I too purchased the screw on sight from Kahr but I've read positive things about the Dawson on this forum and others. They claim it's simple to put on and does come with the tool you need. Give em' a call.

I purchased the the stake on Dawson sight about a month ago. Came quickly and included the the staking tool. Since my front sight was already broken off all I had to do was punch out the remaining stakes. Everything else was pretty smooth. Just make sure that you use some locktite and make sure that the sight is staked tightly, the last thing you want to try to do is find your brand new sight on the range (ask how I know this).
Other than the above, everything is good to go so far.

Thanks for the help, guys. How far down range did that front sight fly, Jacam2002? If I buy it, I'll stake the hell out of it and smother it in Locktite. :)

a little grinder work and some JBWeld ought to do the trick

It's funny actually. We spent about a half hour after the range closed looking all over for the sight. Behind us, under us, down range etc. I was just about to call it quits when I took one more look and found it about 5 feet in front and 4 feet to the left of us. There was a 9mil casing that had landed right on top of it.
Came back home and did a little better job of staking it. I guess MY advice would be once it's staked, go ahead and hit it a couple of more times!
