View Full Version : PM9 Flawless
Like a lot of people, I did a fair amount of research on the PM9, before I bought one. I read all the "problem" reports. I finally bought one and have put 250 rounds through it and and it has been flawless. You definitely need to periodically clean the slide striker channel, it's amazing the stuff that collects there.

If it has the DLC finish then it's just a matter of time before it starts giving you problems. Better sell it to me before you get frustrated and start making complaints...:9::banplease:

Actually it has a stainless slide, no black finish. It did come with a CT laser though

Good for you. I'm partial to the stainless slides myself for whatever tiny little bit that might be worth to you.
Sorry In-yo-Grill, no DLC for you this time. Maybe next.

If I can't get what I REALLY want I may have to do like jkalantzis and buy a stainless one just to scratch the itch.

I feel your pain. He went thru alot of pain and suffering, buyer remorse and what not. It all ended happy and joyful but was a rough road getting there. Gotta be a DLC out there someplace we can hook you up. Guess it all depends how bad the itch is I reckon. Sometimes a little Corn Starch will take care of em for awhile.
I've gotten to the point where most of my wants are really big dollar and I find myself settling for something much less than my target. Sure dont help to come up with the big dollars when you hand it off for lesser stuff. Course in your case the stainless isn't really lesser. Same gun, different look. Confused enough? or should I keep going. I'm confused myself...:der:
I have read all of your thoughts about the DLC and have decided that, rather than take a chance, I will sell my DLC to someone here on KahrTalk. As a new guy, I feel it is important that I fit in.
So, the very first $1,500.00 that is offered will win my Kahr PM9 DLC. The (stupid) clip is not included, it has already been removed.

Did you seriously color yours with a Sharpie? Wouldn't that look streaky and rub off?

Uh... that was my patent-soon-to-be-applied-for answer to the DLC-coveting members here.

In case you're interested. I still have some of this product, at a greatly reduced price.
Development and further production ceased after extensive testing brought to light the problems associated with the durability of this DLC-Like finish.

Is the sharpie like device included in the 1,450 and I assume shipping, packing, handling fees would be on top of that?

Yeah, I guess I could throw in that and shipping for $1450... a bonus for my buds.:)
Pender1, that sharpie ink is easily removed with several different things... lighter fluid and nail-polish remover (acetone). During the lengthy testing... where I neglected to allow enough time for the ink to dry, the stuff smears or wipes off too easily. <sigh> I thought I was going to be rich, but my DLC-Like finish was a little short-lived if you touched it... Heavens Forbid, should you want to use solvents on the gun!! That would have voided the warranty!
Wynn:D
I get bored and try to amuse the members here... it's easier than doing house work or maintenance.
