Sad (and embarrassing!) but true. Austin/Travis County are largely liberal. I do take solace from how much it must burn their collective *sses that EVERY single state-wide elected office (Governor, Lt. Governor, Sec. Of State, etc. ) is held by a Republican. Texas, on the whole, is as "deep red" as it gets. :D
